If there is a decision between the two schools for the 4th and final playoff position":

If Alabama has one loss and plays in the SEC championship game and wins, it gets the 4th spot

If Alabama has one loss and does not play in the SEC championship game, then Notre Dame gets the 4th playoff position. I believe based upon their loss to Clemson if Clemson is one of the final four they get the nod over the Alabama loss to Ole Miss

-Bama/LSU/Florida
-Ohio State/Michigan State/Iowa
-Clemson/Florida State
-Oklahoma/Oklahoma State/Baylor/TCU *

-Stanford/Utah*
-Notre Dame*

Either the Big 12 or Pac 12 will end up with a two loss champ. That team will be left out. Looks right now to be the Pc 12, but real Big 12 play doesn't start until November, so watch out. Even if they both have one loss or the Big 12 winner is undefeated I still think these two conferences are fighting for one spot. Notre Dame needs Stanford to win to steal their spot.

That's pretty much it barring upsets. (ie, Ole Miss, Michigan winning their conference)

who do you add [to the BigXII]? BYU

BYU would be fine. I would say you need to not be too picky, as you don't want to be left out of the CFP again (Baylor/TCU "co-champs") or be the weakest-link in the P5 as there are only 4 chairs at the table now.

Houston, Rice, SMU, BYU are all fine. I'm not a Big XII fan however and I like regional continuity better than adding random states (WV?!) for more TV markets.

If not, f-you Big XII and f-you ND. You can get left out

Which means Ole Miss must lose a remaining game which is likely but not guaranteed.

@ Auburn, should win, but Tigers are not dead yet
vs Arkansas, should win, but Berts will be Berts
vs LSU, My guess is Tigers win this
@ State, while it looks like Ole Miss on paper, StingRay finna eat

apparently Clemson is the only program to ever lose a game. when other programs lose games, it is not typical LSU or typical Auburn, etc

Which would mean going undefeated in the regular season ACC, then losing to Cocks in final game. Not that would be some real Clempsoning there!

Here locally ... I've heard some stats that dispel this notion of "Clemsoning" (under Dabo)

I am not going to look it up ... don't care that much.

But ... I do think that Clemson is the ACC's only hope at this point. FSU has not been impressive at all.

Ole Miss ain't going anywhere. It will be either LSU or Bama from the SEC. Maybe UF.

ND still has to get by Temple, Pitt, BC, and Stanford.

cracks me up because SC lost 4 or 5 games last year despite being up 14 in the 4th quarter, plus got blasted at home by Texas AM, but nobody talks about Gamecocking.

it is odd that one program in entire country got associated with losing a big game when all colleges lose big games all the time including Alabama.

I agree with what you have said but in my opinion Notre Dame should not be eligible for the playoffs until they join a conference and play in a conference championship game. A Notre Dame with one loss and one less game should not be eligible for the playoffs.

Alabama would have to win the conference.

If not, then it's Notre Dame.

SC is the worst major program with a stadium that big yet you guys talk about Clemsoning. lol

UGA is always in top 25 it seems so Richt hasn't been that bad. I believe he owned Florida for several years.

Have you watched football? Have you seen Georgia, consistently, in several different years be overhyped and then choke in a big game? More so than other programs? To the point that they become known for it? Have you noticed this at all?

it's been said a lot but if Ole Miss wins the SEC, no one from the conference is going. Damm Ole Miss they never go... and if they end up going this year they will just ruin it for everyone.

SEC teams always get overhyped, not their fault. Georiga hasn't had a great defense in a long time, and haven't had a great QB last two seasons. teams can't live up to unrealistic expectations

I think if UGA and Alabama played again, if they still had Chubb, UGA could win the game, given the way Bama played against TN. too much gets made out of 1 game.

You're young, ignorant, and bitter. The SEC was underrated and underhyped until the mid-2000s. You know what changed that? Winning on the field, as underdogs.

Anyways, you didn't answer the question. Yes, you have noticed it. And people have noticed it about Clemson. That's all it is.

You're in the Top 5 now. Want "Clemsoning" to go away? Don't choke in a game you should win, and keep it going. Win it all. The "Clemsoning" meme will be dead. You got nothing to worry about, right?

I TRULY hate ND but they play the most difficult schedules yearly. I don't think theres any way ND gets left out with one loss.

I'm 38.

Clemson has beat LSU, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Notre Dame, MIami, Georgia, Auburn, FSU and other good teams the past 4 years.

Clemson has won 33 in a row against unranked teams based on one polls, and 35 in a row against unranked teams on the other poll.

You don't know what you are talking about. The Clemsoning meme is irrational and baseless. Clemson does lose games sometimes like everybody else. The question is why are we singled out for it.

people tal;ked about Clemsoning during the Tajh Boyd years when our defense was saren wrap, like we were expected to beat all these good teams just b/c the offense was good. won a lot of games despite the bad defense.
