May be the best defensive College 1B I have ever seen in my life.

The WF first baseman was no slouch either.

He’s good. But Morgan makes more plays by being such a great athlete than anyone else I’ve ever seen. He makes “every throw right”. The rest of the infield just needs to throw it near the bag. It doesn’t matter the angle or trajectory he just goes get it. Special talent.

I feel he's been the mvp the whole CWS for LSU. I know Skenes of course but he hit when no one else was and we needed the hits and he fielded like a man possessed. That play tonight doesn't happen we are watching a gator Wake final.

He’s a gamer. The guy hustles non-stop. Hell he chases 1st base side foul balls way down the right field line.

I called my wife into the room so she could see just how beautiful that play was

She immediately jumped on and me and we banged until the game was over.

If tre is 1

WF 1b is 1a. He made plays that were incredible. shite I have never seen from a 1b... tho Tre did something tonight I didn't think a 1b could do at all.

I told my wife the other day, that defensively, Morgan could go straight to the majors.

The sad thing about Tre's situation is elite 1B play isn't at a premium in the MLB because most infielders make great throws to 1st routinely, so usually they stick an immobile power hitter there. Tre at bat is great at putting balls in play and working counts, doesn't strike out much, but he's not a power hitter. Sadly he'll probably have to be an outfielder to make it to the show. Granted he's made some great catches this year when we were experimenting with Jones at first when his bat was hot, but idk if Tre has an MLB outfielder arm.

Tre is an old school baseball player that I just don't know if he fits into the modern MLB. Which is a shame. He'll forever be a Tiger legend in me and many other Tiger and SEC baseball fans' minds though. Hopefully he'll never have to pay for a beer or meal in BR again.

He saved the game…Tommy won it! Would have been nothing to win without Tre.

Several times this week, I've watched him chase after deep foul balls that have ended up in the stands and thought,

"he could've covered Arkansas' Bermuda Triangle all by himself."
