Not sure if this has already been mentioned but what do most ranters think about an ACC-SEC challenge in football? Something like the SEC does with the Big 12 or the ACC with Big 10 in basketball. A lot of teams already have a cross conference rival and both conferences have been pretty vocal about playing Power 5 teams.

When would you play those games? The B10/ACC hoops is generally right at the same time. UF/FSU, GT/UGA, SC/CLEM are already last game. You're definitely not going to move AUB/Bama; same, probably, for LSU/ARK.

Why did you type the same thing in the title that you started your post with?

That's dumb.

I don't think the ACC has enough good teams to warrant it. Clemson and FSU are solid but after that its a big drop. Duke was decent this year but not every year, va tech and Miami need to remerge as contenders. At this point I wish we could do something with the Pac12 since we never get to face them in bowl games.

SpartyGator the games wouldn't have to be played at the same time. They could be played as part of the opening week kickoff games or middle of the season as far as I'm concerned

We could do it early in the season, maybe that would get us playing each other again.

I'd like it as well, it's been a while.

I know UGA has done H/H with ASU (I'll ignore CU, since they weren't in the P12 at the time)

Auburn has done some games with Wazzou and USC, LSU with UW and Oregon. Arkansas got killed by USC. Tennessee has done stuff with Cal and UCLA.

LSU/Arky has already been moved. LSU/TAMU & Arky/Mizzou are now played on Thanksgiving weekend.

I'd be down. Anything to keep us from playing big bad Texas.

Understandable. But other than Bama and LSU which of the teams that don't already have an ACC rival are world beaters every other year. You have AU, aTm, Arky, Tenn, Mizzou and the mississippis. Even UK has Louisville in the ACC now

Do it opening weekend:

Auburn/Florida State
Clemson/Georgia
Duke (or Wake Forest)/Vanderbilt
Florida/Miami
Louisville/Kentucky
North Carolina/South Carolina

You can still have the traditional rivalries Thanksgiving weekend.

These make sense. For some reason, I'd like to see VT/UGA as well, although VT isn't very good right now.

Vandy played WF quite a bit (cancelled 2014-15), but Duke would be interesting

Florida/Miami
Louisville/Kentucky
North Carolina/South Carolina

These all make sense as well.

It would be awesome if every East team (minus Missouri, plus Auburn) played an ACC team and every West team (minus Auburn, plus Missouri) played a Big XII team that opening weekend.

I'd prefer VT/UT since they are pretty close to each other. They already have a games scheduled in Bristol coming up, they just need to make that a permanent game.

I think UNC/USCe and UF/Miami should be played every year. they could turn into some pretty decent rivalries.

UK/UL already play every year.

But why would the other SEC teams care about playing the other ACC teams? Outside of FSU, Clemson, GT, Miami and VT, there really isn't a team I'd be excited about seeing Bama play.

What about an annual tilt against an Oklahoma or Texas?
