Yes, except Knoxville of course. Everyone knows Knoxville is literally a perfect place with zero problems.

All of your assertions are suspect.
I really only ever drive through there, but I find this hard to believe. I'm sure there are probably decent areas around it, aka not so poor, but on a whole it has never looked like a nice place to live.

Baton Rouge is a very dangerous place. However any head coach and their family would be insulated from the immediate danger. You will make enough money to not ever have to be amongst the low lives and poverty stricken areas.

Not really. What are the most common problems among the South that is not Florida or Texas? Lack of education and there are poor States overall. This is due to lack of funding because there aren't enough people to help pay taxes for the State.
Someone is a LSU fan on here who is living in New York said two different culture of Black people One from the South and one from the North. South not as educated and are poor. In the north they are smarter and do not follow the South culture and lifestyle. I am telling you it isn't rocket science to know that. It is the same for white people in the South.

What part of this is in disagreement with anything I said?

Lack of education in general.
Culture and lifestyle are other issues. That is why some people do not want to socialize with those group of people.

I never said the specific issues as to why the southern cities have the problems they do, just that they all have the same problems, generally. Which is not in disagreement with anything you said. Take your pick: crime, poverty, education, etc. They're all interrelated, and almost every large city in the South has these problems.

That's a lie, since anyone who's ever tried to drive through BR knows that IH-10 is a parking lot from 5 miles west of the river until N.O. Literally the worst stretch of interstate highway in the country.

Don't lump Memphis into the same group as Montgomery, Jackson, or BR. We have multiple fortune 500 companies HQ here as well as some other big company's regional offices and St Jude. There is great golfing, great parks, and a great zoo.

Just what they said was more comfortable to be in the North due to better fit for their lifestyle and culure. I can see that it is true. That is part of it If you talking about Florida. UF that is different. There must be some other reason some don't want go where it just not fit where they normally go or live there.

Harsin might be in the wrong place to coach due to lack of recruiting in the South.

I don't go to New Orleans, I keep going east.
But I do hate getting stuck on the bridge more than anything.

Freeman has lived in the midwest almost his entire life. He grew up in Ohio, went to college in Ohio, and then had multiple coaching stops in Ohio and Indiana. The only year of his life he's spent outside those two states was as a player in Buffalo/Chicago/Houston in 2009. His wife is also from Ohio. Notre Dame is also still Notre Dame. To have that offer and stay right in the same area where you've always lived and right by yours and your wife's family is kinda hard to turn down.

BR has greatly declined since Katrina in 2005.
Currently, if you stay south of Florida Blvd/I-10/12, you should survive.
LSU coaches area in CCLA is as nice as anywhere.
It's not a 100% shithole, but every year it gets worse and the White Flight increases........

BR ain't the kind of place to raise your kids. In fact, it's hot as hell.

I just find it funny when posters, most of whom live in or around these many shithole cities all over the South, try to single out one individually as if coaches would live anywhere near what makes these cities shitholes. Just an observation.
