I would rather play them full strength. Continued prayers for Tyler's recovery. Young man should have a very bright future.

Well, if ULM was tagging his azz, what do you think bama is gonna do to him. I would hold him out as well.

I've rewatched the game a few times now..

Idk if one hit did it. He took a few shots to the helmet be it a hand or a helmet. And on one hit it even looked like when he came down the back of his helmet caught a ULM defenders knee.. Kind of what happened to Tebow a couple years ago.

On the last touchdown he was in when Davis scored he showed zero emotion.. Just looked lost coming off the field.

too lazy to read through the whole thread, so this may have already been mentioned, but didn't it look like some of those hits by ULM should have drawn penalties? just curious.

I believe that if he's medically cleared to play, he will play.

however, I don't believe he'll be medically cleared to play.

Should have. But it seems like teams are allowed to abuse Wilson for some reason. He takes a ton of shots to the head and never a flag. It's kinda weird.

I wish somebody with more time and know how than me would put together all the hits he's taken.

The 4 big hits I saw should have been flagged IMO.

Either he had somebody swatting his helmet or it was a helmet to helmet hit.

I hate the whole targeting rule, there truly should never be a "defenseless player." But a true pocket QB in the pocket and a kicker are defenseless.

A Hawg radio personality was at practice yesterday, Tues, and he said that Wilson was taking mental snaps only. If he's not practicing real time on a Tues, it seems unlikely he'll play 4 days later.

Really? You think he would go that far as to try to mind frick AL with a tactical ploy after losing to ULM at home? And, would it really even matter? The same AR defense will be playing without one of it's best players now.

Had you read the last sentence of my post you would've seen thta I admitted I doubted JLS was trying to be deceptive.

quote:

IF JLS was being truthful Mon when he said Wilson was still a little "fuzzy" (or something like that), there's no way he should be able to be medically cleared to play Sat. Was JLS trying to deceive everyone, including AL, as a tactical ploy? I don't know, but I doubt it.

Even though Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson hasn't been cleared to practice, coach John L. Smith said on Wednesday that he felt better about Wilson's chances of playing against Alabama Saturday.

"I am more optimistic, but that decision has not been made yet and not in my hands," Smith said. "I’m keeping fingers crossed as well."

(Hope i did that right...still learning the ways of The Rant.

The next play, Wilson missed the receiver on an out pattern by 5 yards.

This was Wilson's last drive.

quote:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1-10-ARK13 (3:25) Knile Davis rushed for 4 yards.
2-6-ARK17 (2:58) Tyler Wilson passed to Mekale McKay for 61 yards.
1-10-LAMON22 (2:34) LAMON was penalized 15 yards.
1-0-LAMON7 (2:29) LAMON was penalized 3 yards.
1-0-LAMON3 (2:25) Touchdown. Knile Davis rushed for 3 yards.

Hugo, I stand corrected as TW did come in for the TD drive after the big hit I mentioned. I recorded the game Sat then watched it Sun PM. When the recording got to halftime, I reversed it to look at the big hit again. The TD drive was so quick (87 yards in 3 plays) that I guess I missed it.

I still think someone detected something suspicious w/ TW during the subsequent ULM drive. I don't think AR would usually bring in a 2nd team QB w/ ball on their own 2 yd line just to run out the clock.

TW is clearly a VERY talented QB who should have a very bright future playing on Sundays. I hope he recovers well w/o complications. AR must find a way to protect him better. While no one could question TW's courage in the pocket, he's got to find a way to help avoid such hits. The last hit could've probably been avoided w/ lateral movement in the pocket on his part.
