I heard it was his brother Geoffrey Simmons in the video not Jeffery. So it's all good.

So you can hit a girl, it just can't be on video?

You sure as hell need more than "he said, she said"...a video of the player beating up on a guy on the ground is just a little bit more proof.

Guess Mississippi as a whole is indeed a shitty state. I hoped it was only an Ole Miss thing.

Guess Tennessee is in whole a shitty state. Thought it was just a James Earl Ray thing......
See how that whole generalization thing works.

Maybe because "aggravated rape" is a felony and Simmons was charged w/ simple assault which is a misdemeanor?

And he was suspended immediately before he was even charged and is now awaiting trial. What else is the football coach expected to do in that situation? I'll hang up and listen

Cecil, Jeremy, Honeybadger, and Jefferson say LSU is ThugU compared to Mississippi State

Did you really name a player that last played in 1997, and was kicked of the team mind you, to try to make a point? Really? Try harder

Pretty sure I heard some talking about this on ESPN last week. Pretty mainstream if you ask me.

To be fair to Mullen when he wrote up those core values he didn't ever expect to sign any 5* players. He knew where he was coaching.

How about Jalen Mills or does that one not count?
Mills' battery charge to be dropped if he enters program

"Mills was originally charged with second-degree battery, a felony, but East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore's office reduced the charge to a misdemeanor in August, a decision that was received with some controversy. Moore cited a lack of evidence to prove permanent disfigurement or unconsciousness as the reason for the decision not to prosecute the felony charge. "

The guy was comparing UT to State.

What is Mullen supposed to do in this situation by say he is monitoring it? Immediately suspended immediately Simmons from the team? Oh that's right, he's not on the team yet.

1 massive difference here for sure. One of them is on tape, the other was just accused and it really couldn't be proven. Mills was still punished fairly harshly for it not even being proven. Simmons is on tape punching a prone woman. Big difference.

I'm not talking about ESPN, obviously a sports driven media outlet is going to pick it up.

As long as it stays off the social crusader's radars he will be alright. If they pick it up and start with their shite, MSU will be forced to take action.

I'm honestly surprised TMZ hadn't run a story about it. Especially with the big stink going on in the NFL the last few years with domestic assault.

If he stays out of trouble it won't be talked about again. Unless he is successful and come draft time it may be brought back up.

The accuser claimed she didn't know Mills and that she knocked on his door looking for help. That's when he opened it and punched her in the face, for no reason.

That's when her story was torn to pieces. It came out that Mills had been fricking her, and she went to his apartment while he had his girlfriend there. Everyone present said the women fought and Mills broke it up.

I'm sure it was somewhere in the middle of all of that, but seeing as there was no video, no one knows.
