Bama was still the Champion last year - just don't make them out to be the 2005 Horns, leave alone the 2001 'canes.
Hell, 2004 Auburn was a more "dominant" team than 2009 bammer. LSU was the only team in the entire 2004 season that was within a a single score of winning the game in the 4th quarter against Auburn the ENTIRE 2004 season.

This is either the lamest troll ever, or you're seriously a moron who should post less.
The teams weren't even comparable. One team won numerous awards, including a Heisman, won the SEC West, SECCG, then the BCSNCG, and the other... has NC rings for sell on ebay.
ALL IN.

There was no "great" player in college last year. Just an above average running back on an undefeated team.

interesting. in other words, who can enjoy a fan experience where you're gonna have to go up against colossal titans at the end of a season if you wanna win the big one? makes it seem like there isn't an unbalanced/over powerful team.

um, you're definitely wrong about that.

Yes they were, and the best of them all was Suh.

thankfully, enough of the people honored with a vote for the heisman disagreed with you.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to agree or be offended.....

That we got left out in 2004? Yes, I think it's a travesty that any undefeated SEC team would be left out of a NC game. I also think it is sad that the greatest sport in the world isn't settled on the field.
All of that has nothing to do with your ignorant post. There is no way to know who was better between bama 09 and AU 04. You can lol all you want and talk about how much better bama 09 was all you want and it doesn't prove a thing. The fact is both of those teams were very good and if they played each other it would probably be a very close, good game.
AU 04 also won numerous awards, the West, and an SEC championship. Everything else you mentioned is voted on by a bunch of people who have a opinions just like you and I.

Its amazing how every conversation turns into a pissing and shouting match...
Cam Newton is the most dominate player in football this year. I don't see another player who is on par with him.
Auburn is one of the two best teams I've seen, even with the weaknesses they've shown on defense. I think they will roll into Atlanta undefeated.
LSU's D is probably the only one with a chance to stop Newton, but their overall team probably isn't enough to beat Auburn. MAYBE with Lee's ability to pass they can exploit Auburn's Achilles's heel, their pass D.

straight up, i don't even know how it sounded offensive. i was kinda trying to ask you what you meant. it sounded like you'd rather there NOT be a super-power at the #1 slot all year than to have one there looming for whoever makes it to slot #2 for the big game.
and in a way, that would create a lot less tension from a fan's perspective. it would basically boil down to "who's gonna drop one this week?!"

i hate agreeing with you. right now, if we were to play auburn, we'd lose.
the one thing i've been hanging my hat on for hope's sake is that Saban will have had an entire season to watch Newton and auburn. that's gotta stand for something!
