If you try to find one, you can't. There is no absolutely dominant team this year. It's a down year for the entire league. I'd be tired of being told my team hasn't beaten anyone yet if I were an Aubbie... I'd be tired of it if I were ANY of the unbeaten teams left.... BUT, what it all boils down to is that this year has a bunch of decent teams and no great teams.

So right now, it seems like whoever plays for the NC game is going to play in one of the most over-look-able years in football in a while.

Anyone else feel the same?

Pretty much - every team is flawed.

Bama is still the favorite in the SEC FWIW

Nope. I dont believe in down years.

There is parity adn college football is cyclical. Terams are good enough to beat each other all the time.

AU is proving to be one of the top teams in the nation. Just because UT, UGA, and UF are sucking doesnt mean teh SEC is down. That is excuse making by those fans. THis is teh same BS said in 2004. Must bea down year a handful of teams are not having good years...garbage.

Relax Frances, we're only 7-0 and still have 4 loseable games. Wait to see how the season plays out a bit before you start trying to discredit Auburn any way you can.

Newton is the best player in college football, but AU's D is weak.

Is it good enough this year, with SEC defenses in general being down a notch, to run the table or win the West? TBD.

woah woah... i know you guys know me to hate auburn and that's fine. but i was NOT flaming auburn. or anyone... it's just how i see it. that's actually why i started the thread. i would be pissed if i WERE an auburn fan because everyone keeps telling you you've beaten NO one.

The SEC west is as good as it's ever been. We have 5 BCS ranked teams. I would say teams are more even. Last year, Bama just had to beat LSU.

AU is the Cam show and defense is poor (leave alone not good)

If any team does what Texas did to Nebraska then their D can't stop the opposing O from scoring.

Of course it means that the D has to be really disciplined and has to have good athletes - so that leaves only LSU or Bama to take care of AU - since I doubt that Georgia will recover this year.

Can someone tell me the last time there was a team without flaws in college football? Because if that's how we're going to judge the league then college football has been down for years.

oregon we've discussed.

michigan state?? really?

AU - defense gives up some mad arse points.

TCU - don't know enough about them, but something tells me they're not "dominant."

Oklahoma - your only real potential here.

i like how you put Auburn in there with your suspect defense and didn't put LSU in there.

There are great teams this year...they are just not called Ohio St, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, Nebraska, or Texas.
