You are more than welcome to look up statistics. Your “young coaches who played in college and don’t show favoritism” is laughable. I played in college and it has absolutely nothing to do with coaching ability. For $200 a month, we can join your league? What a bargain, baseball usually lasts 3-4 months if not longer plus tournament fees not to mention 200-300$ bats. Your 290$ fee would be for a one month season. Travel ball has destroyed any connection players had with their communities and creates an illusion of inflated ability because they play on a “travel” team and have “won” tournaments. Parents expect preferential treatment because they have invested in many cases thousands of dollars and players bounce from one team to the next when those expectations aren’t met. Your anecdotal evidence is amusing at best.
