Thanks for the tips, I've already watched several YouTube vids and I think I can do it.

You shut your mouth Miss Lady!

Raw oysters on crackers with horseradish and cocktail sauce is my top 3 favorite foods.

Waiting for beer to get cold is kind of like being a kid on Christmas morning that knows it's too soon to wake his parents up to open presents.

Practice veggie or cali rolls until you get the hang of it. Then FedEx some quality fish.

Sushi grade fish just means it was frozen soon after it was caught to a really low temp for a certain amount of time.

Or is so fresh it never had to be frozen, which is impossible if your inland at all.

Yeah I know the difference. I just wouldn't trust myself to maintain that kind of quality or anyone else who hasn't had significant practice at making it.

Take a pitcher, put ice, water and salt in it. Put your beer in and twirl. Put the rest in a freezer.

This works... if you have an ice cream maker, use rock salt.

What are you maintaining, it's either been frozen long enough and cold enough or not. I'm talking tuna and salmon, not fugu.

Already done. It still takes about five minutes. I remember the first time I saw someone demonstrate that my freshman year. It's pretty incredible, really.

Not really, ever had homemade ice cream. It's simple chemistry.

The quality of the fish as you try to roll it? Then frick up and try to roll it again. And again. And again. Which you'll probably do the first few times you attempt it if you're insisting on trying with raw fish your first time around.

Reb had the best advice. If you're serious about it start with veggie rolls before you start messing around with fish.

The only way to eat steak is to get the cooking surface hot as shite, sear it for a minute on each side and put a big blob of herb butter on it before popping it in the oven for a few minutes.

Medium-rare here.
I've had rare before and I liked it.

This is where I personally like it but rare is fine, just not a fan of "blue"
