He's not scared but if given the choice of not playing LSU and Tennessee (now that they have a pulse) every year he is going with not playing them. He knows it would make winning an SEC & Nat Championship that much harder.

For years he did advocate for a 9 game sec schedule. Why he changed I don’t know

Well it’s obvious imho. Alabama was rumored to get AU/UT/LSU as permanent rivals. They would have been the only program to have three big6 programs locked in every year. Everyone else would have a cupcake locked in.

Saban isn’t paid 9mil a year to put Bama in a bad position. It’s a competitive imbalance that he rightly pointed out.

Scared of Freeze, I’m shocked. Bama plays the easiest schedule every year it seems.

Give me 10 games. Screw Nick. He scared.

But when the competitive imbalance benefited Alabama y’all defended it and said we were scared.

Now suddenly y’all want a balanced schedule.

Amazing!

This is what I was thinking as well. Not even 7 days have lapsed since the beating at the gaydome. I just don't get it.

What's worse? This thread, or the tackling of A&M's secondary?

I'm sure you do. I'm sure you also want to pretend you are all about tradition and not playing the teams that have the worst records against you in the last couple decades.

It changes every decade and Bama deserves a real schedule for the next decade.

If this happened 5 years ago, Saban wouldn’t say a word about playing Tennessee. But now that Tennessee is good again? He wants no part of them every year. But yet he was ok with UT playing Bama and UGA every year though

5 years ago when Auburn and LSU both finished as top 15 teams and LSU won the natty? I'm sure he would've had something to say lol

Kind of convenient y'all want to lock us in to that arrangement when UT no longer sucks while letting 2 of our 3 proposed permanents play Vandy every season. Eject Vandy and assign AU/UT a serious opponent and maybe it won't look so obviously lopsided

maybe so, but wasn’t Alabama one of the votes for 8 games?

Let’s see how each school votes on the 2-25 schedule

We know that Florida, Georgia, Auburn, aTm and LSU were all votes for 9 games; and it looks like Oklahoma and Texas will vote for 9 games

That’s 7 out of the 9 schools we need for a 3-6 format

Will be interesting to see how things shake out

Auburn is not top anything currently and the jury is still out on Tennessee.
