Leave it to the Gumps to post in a thread about Saban bitching about his teams three permanent opponents and make it into…..LSU FANS ARE BITCHING!

You can call it dumb but it’s exactly what they did. Every Big 8 had two Big 8 permanent opponents.

Every Little 8 has two Little 8 permanent opponents.

TSIO still intact. Why would Nick be crying about that?

Sounds like Saban wants to end the Tenn permanent

That rumor was going around last year. Maybe there was truth to it after all.

I don’t understand what Saban’s issue is with the proposed opponents, the 3 teams Bama is getting Tennessee, LSU and Auburn have all been on their schedule every year since the 60’s at least. LSU is getting Bama, A&M and Ole Miss. Aggie is a traditional rival from the past as is Ole Miss, but it we had drew Florida instead of Ole Miss or Aggie that would be fine also.

This is 100 accurate

What funds will be generated or lost with or without LSU play Bama as opposed to MSU/OM or A&M?

You can disagree but over the last 15 years LSU vs Alabama is the premier game in the SEC. For tv and media they want that to continue until it is not the big game every year

Jesus, Saban sounds like a pussy. Scared to play LSU and Tennessee,

Saban is right. That is outrageously unfair to Bama. Tennessee and LSU are both top five in the new conference, along with Bama, Florida and Georgia. And you can’t expect them to play themselves, so they were assigned two of the top four available. And Auburn is, at worst, middle of the pack. That is not balanced.

You have to give them Tennessee and Auburn, so their third should have been a weakling.

So their fans have been singing about Tennessee Auburn and LSU in Dixieland delight for a long time.

I went to the 2019 LSU-Bama game and heard the fans sing that. I assumed that Auburn and Tennessee were fixtures in that song and that they just plugged in that week’s opponent into slot three. Is that not the case?

The ESPN/ABC money paid to the conference will be the same with or without the Bama/LSU game played annually.

Sorry, not playing that one game won't change the new deal and I imagine adding more content with one extra conference game will probably increase TV money

This is not a smart arse comment.
5 of the 11 are by Auburn and 2 more by Auburn's current coach. Saban is 3-2 vs Freeze with Freeze winning the last two.
Auburn is laying low, recruiting like crazy, working hard and will be in the hunt very shortly. We have been playing these schedules for years.

Oklahoma sucks. They should be down in the relatively easy section, along with UTA.

I had a lot of respect for him for many years.
He’s turned into a whiny hypocritical POS.
