Alabama
Alabama was too predictable on offense with the running game and likely won’t run as much on early downs this time around. The Tide can’t put McCarron in third-and-make-a-play situations and expect good things to happen. He must throw early to gain confidence and keep LSU guessing.
LSU
LSU played too much zone in the first half and allowed the Tide to gain simple blocking advantages up front. Look for the Tigers to take more chances early, playing more man coverage in the secondary and loading up on the line of scrimmage to stop the run and rush the passer.
