I hope you did not go to Vanderbilt, otherwise their admissions standards must be in the toilet now...

Iowa made the playoff and had a class in the 50's last year and this year.

What did LSU do last year with their consistent top 10 classes?

Oh yea, almost fired their coach and then shite themselves for half the season

What's it gonna take to get Mizzou in the West? I would say give Auburn to the east. But they're looking like the only reliable shite show going forward the next few years. It's a real issue.

Pretty sure they didn't make the playoffs. Sparty beat them in the B1G title game and Stanford stomped a mudhole in them this bowl season.

I consider Title Games as the "playoffs". It's the first round if you really consider the ramifications. Now that the CFP exists maybe I need to start saying "post season", but that sucks because 5-7 teams go to bowl games now.

So let's just call it conference playoffs

Hard to feel sorry for them after how the football team decided to play politics instead of what they were on scholarship to actually do.

Frick them.

You do know recruiting rankings are not real? You have no idea how Mizzou's class will develop.

This thread sucks, but this post is worse. There are several reasons the SEC West is the best division in college football, but one major one is it has great talent. That comes from highly rated recruiting classes.

I don't want to pick on LSU while they are down. LSU tried to fire one of the best coaches they have ever had but they didn't do it bc They couldn't get Jimbo Fisher to leave a dumpster fire of a program for LSU. Fisher would rather go down with the ship then move on to LSU.

Go check our recruiting ranking for the past 10 years. Then check our overall record. See if it correlates.

In other words......yawn

Congrats on winning a down SEC East because UGA's coach wasted so much talent. Look what happened each time when you played the best in the West. The talent gap kicked your arse.

All things considered its not a horrible recruiting class for Mizzou this year. They have made their living the last decade or so developing talent rather then recruiting it and they've done fairly well with that approach.

They recruited players to fit their system and since they are overhauling their offense that means they need some warm bodies in certain areas. Sometimes you don't have the luxury of going after the best player available when you are trying to fill in holes in the depth chart.

Will this class let them come roaring out of the gates next year and return to the SECCG? Probably not. It might help them build the team back to where they can contend for the East in another year or two though.

Like a poster in the Georgia forum called us a few years ago " They are like Zombies they just keep coming"

Most zombies are not 4 and 5 star people. The 4 and 5 star get away from the zombie hoard. Zombies are the 0 to 3 star caliber in regular life. And that is our fate. But they do just keep on coming and coming.

They are very much real. Just take a look at past National Championship winners and compare their class rankings. Also, the odds of a 4*/5* being drafted are astronomically higher than a 3* and below. A 5* has roughly a 60% chance of being drafted, a 4* 20%, a 3* roughly 5%, and a 2* between 2%-3%.

Recruit rankings aren't all that matters, but they damned sure make up the largest chunk of the puzzle.

Missouri is 2-time SEC east champ, it's not like the OP slapped a puppy. Why don't some of you ladies put your husbands back on here.
