If it was a 16 team tournament, they shouldn't have been in. It was a 64 team tournament, where they beat a decent Virginia Tech team. Bama absolutely proved they deserved to be in.

I personally think teams like St Mary's and MTSU should have been in. I like Bama over ASU and some others obviously but just in general I don't love giving out P5 participation trophies

They also lost a lot of bad games. They had more bad losses than some of these mid majors who got snubbed despite less opportunities

Or get credit for beating them. MTSU's best wins were some of our worst losses. St. Mary's best win outside of Gonzaga was a BYU team that wasn't a top 10 win for us.
