This is all so stupid. If you have signed an agreement with an NFL team, college should be over. The season starts in 2 weeks.
What are we doing? Does anyone else think this is a bridge too far?

You know when Ole Miss fans become the litmus test of have things gone too far, things have definitely gone too far.

You mean back when players were amateurs? Why can college basketball players enter the draft and then return to school? Cause thems the rules.
A lot of these guys are making more money now than they will ever see at the next level. We are only at different levels of professionalism at this point.
I'm still not sure why a football player hasn't challenged the 3-year eligibility rule to get into the NFL draft. It's been a while since the Ohio State running back tried and failed. And again, in case someone hasn't noticed, things have dramatically changed since then.

True. But it is a little different being that NFL season hasn’t begun and a landmark ruling just gave one class of college-aged athletes a year of eligibility back.
If we are going to have this clownworld of lawlessness, we can’t be selectively outraged.
This ruling is way less impactful than allowing instant eligibility to transfers who can transfer unlimited amount of times and allowing bribes and pay to play as long as you pretend it’s for an advertisement. In that context, this ruling is benign.

Tell that to your LSU brethren.
Are we still hearing about this corrupt small town Mississippi judge overruling the NCAA,? Or has that settled down now that a Louisiana judge is letting Saints players suit up for LSU?

They just spent the last few weeks in NFL uniforms, trying for a roster spot in preseason games, and have signed deals with NFL teams. This is all so stupid.

Yeah it’s completely out of control, and already well past time for serious change. But the Supreme Court created this mess. And everything is decided by lawsuits.
But there are many other issues with CFB. Just add it to the list.

Why would I melt? 3 of the players are ours. I still don't think they should be allowed to play.

The entire site melted for months when Bama brought back Bediako, I don’t want to hear a word from anyone justifying this.

Because that’s an NFL rule collectively bargained for.
