You couldn't be more wrong if you tried.

TV viewership has set back to back records.

Go yell at the sky.

You're talking about the fact that since 2024 ABC has mostly broadcast SEC games. Before then CBS had a contract and ABC would generally broadcast Big10 teams. ABC didn't cast regular season SEC games for years.

Most SEC games would otherwise be cast on channels like ESPN, where the numbers are always lower due to it not being a free broadcast.

ABC doing all SEC games all day most of the time has been a big highlight of the past 2 seasons.

You're also focusing on the top games only instead of college football as a whole.

Im telling you that more people are watching college football than ever before because that is a fact.

Your personal mini boycott is drowned out by all the Indiana, Vandy and TT fans who are now watching lots of games.

Nobody gives a shite if one grumpy old timer cant watch but a few games.

We dont care.

Who is yacking about NASCAR? Good grief.

"If there's an argument that anything other than CFB is the hottest sport out there I'd be curious to hear it," tweeted Fox Sports president of insights and analytics Mike Mulvihill.

Your link is just passing the same thing you replied to. These games are now on ABC which is a main broadcast where in the past they would have likely been on ESPN.

Do you understand the difference between ABC and ESPN in terms of the number of views it would get?

And you are cherry picking top games on top of it.

Anyway, get back to me in 5 years.

OK.

I'll try to help you but then I'm finished.

This is in reference to total viewership of ALL GAMES on ALL NETWORKS.

This is the THIRD straight year that will set a new viewership record.

So, the year BEFORE we moved to ABC.....it set a record.

Then LAST YEAR, a NEW record was set.

Now, THIS YEAR, a NEW record is being set.

It has absolutely nothing to do with ABC's SEC contract at all.

It is ALL NETWORKS, ALL GAMES.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Your link didn't say any of that.

I personally like NFL more than college these days. Nothing to do with the results on the field, just moreso the landscape of what college football has become. I know I sound very old man as a near 38-year-old now, but it's just not what I grew up watching.

I rank them by which titles would I celebrate the most. It goes.

Florida Gators Football
Tampa Bay Bucs Football
Florida Gators Basketball
Tampa Bay Lightning
Florida Gators baseball
Orlando Magic
Tampa Bay Rays

Don't get me wrong, I watch all of them..but that would be my ranking.

It's just a geography education problem. So many areas - especially large urban northern areas - have no relationship to colleges. They identify as residents of the areas prowled by the Bills or Packers or Giants or Bengals. Limited post high school education leads to attaching by geography.

College football is finally coming into the modern age. In another decade the following will occur:

1- Bowls will no longer exist - thankfully

2- Playoffs will be at either 24 teams or 32 - thankfully

3 - All teams will now have meaningful games in late October and November - thankfully

4 - No teams will be eliminated from post season play after week 2 - thankfully

5 - the sport will have a more fans than ever because every team will have a path to the post season - thankfully

6 - the SEC will still be whining because they will no longer control who has a chance in the playoffs- thankfully

I turned it off during the George Floyd virtue signaling competition, then found that I really didn't miss it. I already waste my entire Saturday on CFB. Having my Sunday free allows me to get all of my stuff done around the house.

I rarely watch an entire NFL game now. Mostly because I stopped playing fantasy football ten years ago and a few teams I follow usually are shitty anyways. I still think they have awful announcers for the most part.

Boring product and low energy fans. It's almost as bad as watching Ohio State vs Minnesota.
