Also, you can expect a lot of trades in this draft.

Or you could compare game performance, but idiot scouts don't seem to pay much attention to that these days.

Well, considering your method for evaluating players relies on stats rather than watching games, you don't seem to really grasp how a NTs great in-game performance might not be reflected in the stat line on Sunday. I guess it's not surprising you feel that way considering CBSSpports had this to say about Moore

quote:

Makes a disproportionate number of his tackles five yards downfield due to his hustle and isn't the consistently dominant defender his statistics might indicate.

But he has great stats.

There isn't a single person who watched Jesse Williams play who doesn't think he was one of the best players on the field every game he played.

That said, Jesse is still raw in many aspects of his game, and he needs to work on his hand technique and stop playing so top heavy. That's not surprising given he started playing football on a club team in Australia at the age of 15.

Moore will probably go ahead of Williams, but it would not be surprising if Jesse gets picked ahead of him. He's extremely talented.

Remember that Floyds job on the field was to take up space and prevent runs...he required two blockers at all times...so you cant measure him with stats. He is an absolute beast and the NFL knows it. Elam may be second rounder...lotta talent in this draft with record number of juniors coming out...he shoulda waited.

Someone might take him late first rd because of his play making ability...but we will see.

*Game stats* as opposed to combine stats. Your point is taken, but Moore's tackle stats look like a LB's rather than a DE's, and then we get into why I'm comparing a DE to a NT and start the circle all over again.

Moore may move down because of poor performance at the combine and A&M's Pro Day, and that wouldn't surprise me much. But he'll be a good catch for whoever gets him.

I have only one game to compare head-to-head NT performance. Remember Spencer Nealy? Of course you do! I honestly have no memory of Jesse Williams.

In case I missed something I decided to watch again on seconondemand.com, which is always a good deal, so thanks. And honestly I wanted to see if I missed something about 'Bama's NT that I've never heard of.

So far: 14-0, 1st qtr, 7:56. Verne: "He gets nailed by Spencer Nealy." (7 yard loss)

I'll be happy to report other calls as they occur.

Well everyone else in the SEC knows who he is. I bet you can name everyone of A&M's male cheerleaders though right?

I guess this is supposed to be some sort of juvenile gay joke?

I don't remember Jesse Williams. Watching the one game we had in common at the moment to see what I've missed. Moore has made a good play, Nealy has made a good play, but so far the only 'Bama player that scares me is Lacy. That will change, of course, but I still don't remember Williams and I'm certain I'll hear more about Moore and Nealy. And Lacy, dammit.

Good Lord there are a lot of retards here. A&M was 3rd in the West. I get that and don't dispute it, nimrod. The discussion is about whether Moore is a better draft prospect than a 'Bama NT I've never hear of.

easy Luke Joeckel. If anyone else says someone else is going first in the SEC they are trolling or dumb.

How many times can you say that in one thread? Jesse was on every preseason watch list there was last year. He's a two year starter at NG on two NC teams. He's about to be drafted in the 1st round of the NFL draft. You not knowing who he is just means you don't pay attention.

Why should you have heard of him he is a 3-4 NT. If you hear either of Bama's ILB's that is because of Jesse Williams. The guy is a stud, especially with his position versatility since he can play 3-4 DE.

Williams has a good NT play in the 3rd qtr. So I'm wrong. Sort of.

that is actually a pretty good one there.

Warmack is definitely the better prospect but guards don't typically go in the Top 15.

a lot of mocks have both Warmack and the Cooper fella from UNC going in the Top 15 but that doesn't mean shite.

Richardson has been popular in the mocks going to the Panthers at #14.
