You Texass Twats are too fricking stupid to recognize that you are EXACTLY like the marxist democrats pouring into Austin every year, body odor and all. You’ve mismanaged and fricked up your own conference so bad that it is not a viable entity, so you run off to a red conference where we don’t condone shooting heroin in the alleys and shitting on the sidewalks.

Texass is the same shitstain they’ve always been.

It’s because unlike you Shorthorm pussies we divide the money in the SEC when we win equally. Vandy and others get the same amount of money as alabama when we win a NC.

Texas keeps their money but the problem in atexas hasn’t won shite so the kitty is empty.

Texas will be a joke in the SEC. Nick Saban won’t be around forever but Georgia will arse drag you cowboy want to be, tea sip pussies for years to come!

Texas panicked. After ruining two other conferences, they are running scared. Last year Texas A&M passed them in football revenue. This idiot is right, they joined strictly for the money after their arrogance and self entitlement continues to drive down the value of their product. Aggies have been telling the SEC about the destructive ways of the Whorns. As many of the Tu posters have demonstrated, they think they will run the conference. The truth is as a liberal “woke” hypocritical school, their football glory days are done.

Most Texas “Fans” I know only watch the OU game or if Texas is playing really well. You people are marginally better than Miami fans. Your stadium is quieter than Kentucky’s. All you have is money

Better yet: Stay in the BDF conference.

Texas made a business decision. That’s it. We didn’t join because of the mighty history of the “SEC-SEC-SEC”. We didn’t join to get back old rivalries. We didn’t join out of respect for the existing schools in the conference. We just decided that we are no longer going to solely support the welfare program that is the Big 12. ESPN decided to make the SEC their cash cow, so we are going to take advantage of that.

We didn't join the conference to listen to bottom tier teams talk about how great the "SEC SEC SEC" is football.

We didn't join to listen to you make fun of the politics of Austin, when almost universally the SEC states are the worst run states in the country.

We certainly didn't join to be a part of a conference of such great academic institutions and standing. Hell, our system schools blow most SEC schools out of the water academically.

We didn't join to listen to you tell us how great your BBQ is. FYI, pork is for bacon and poor people.

That being said, you Bama folks enjoy your time in Austin. But please remember what I've said here when you wonder why we aren’t all “RA RA SEC” like pathetic schools do.

We permitted you in to make us money. So, do your job.

Texas A&M, Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri all voted for unequal revenue distribution. Texas isn't King of the Big 12, it doesn't get to make the rules. Each school gets a vote.

Big 12 was a shotgun wedding from the start. Everyone blames Texas because it's the gorilla in the room and an easy scapegoat, but the conference was doomed from inception.

It was a merger of convenience of the dying SWC and Big 8. Nebraska/Missouri were eyeing the Big 10 at the time. A&M eyeing SEC. Colorado had always considered itself more of west coast school, and Texas was also flirting with both the Pac10 and the SEC. But in the end the Big 12 option was how the cookie crumbled. Largely because of Bob Bullock and Ann Richards.

Texas didn't "ruin" any conference more than any of the other members did, that's just the excuse they use because they didn't like that Texas received more while playing within the rules that the conference had set forth. Sorry for partying.

You joined the SEC in hopes of hanging onto any semblance of relevancy.

A large percentage of your state’s population already takes our jobs so you might as well take our money.

Tell me, where's the lie?

Revenue sharing

But with the Big 12's bylaws requiring a super majority of nine votes to overturn any league funding policy, it was difficult to imagine any scenario where the bloc of the "haves" that includes Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Texas A&M would ever be outvoted.

And that group has swelled with the recent success of programs like Missouri and Kansas in recent years.

Texas, Texas A&M flirting with SEC

Crowe: I was told that Texas and Texas A&M were coming with us, along with Florida State. [SEC commissioner] Roy Kramer was going for the whole enchilada now. He was going for all the television markets because that's all it was about. It was about television. It was about going to get the TV contract and sharing the revenue.

-- Jack Crowe, Arkansas coach in 1990-92

ESPN Story on Demise of SWC

Ann Richards and Bob Bullock basically force creation of Big 12

Slocum, who led the Aggies to a 123-47-2 record as head coach from 1989-2002, said that when the Southwest Conference began to disintegrate in the early 1990s, he made inquiries about the possibility of the Aggies joining the SEC.

...
"He said, 'Well, I'll have to visit with some of the presidents.' In just a few days he called back and said there would definitely be a strong interest. I always thought culturally, geographically, everything, it's a natural fit."

Instead, Slocum said, Texas politicians got involved, many of whom where Baylor or Texas Tech graduates -- including then-Gov. Ann Richards, who graduated from Baylor -- and decreed that any Texas institution leaving for another conference would have to take Baylor and Texas Tech with them. Subsequently, the Big 12 was born in 1994, and it would be 18 years later that Texas A&M finally looked east and joined the SEC.

Missouri flirting with Big 10 before Big 12 formed

Wefald: Notre Dame was being wooed by the Big Ten. The Big Ten was saying, we might be going for Kansas or Missouri. They even had overtures to Texas.

==================

The truth is, everyone's looking out for themselves and doesn't want to be seen as the bad guy. It's easy to paint Texas as the bad guy because it was the biggest and received the most money.

But the SWC, comprised of schools in a single state (+ Arkansas), was not viable in the TV-era. Broyles saw that and ran.

Big 8 had the same problem, a bunch of midwestern flyover states won't get the eyeballs. Their only option was to add the 4 Texas schools. But Nebraska thrived on partial qualifiers, which Texas led a vote to disallow in the Big 12 (and there was a vote, 11-1, Nebraska being the only dissenter). That combined with a 1-9 record vs. Texas had NU looking for greener pastures.

But relationships starting on shaky foundation often don't last. But this "Texas is bad" shite is the same as "Orange man bad."

Major whine and deflection there fella. Half truths and falsehoods. Bob Bullock held Texas feet to the fire. Y’all destroyed the SEC, then the Big 12. That’s a fact. The Texas a-hole AD DeLoss Dodds flat out stated Texas ran the conference. Y’all are the little boy newcomer in the big boy conference.

You're saying a lot of words but they all amount to a bunch of nothing.

Bob Bullock held Texas's feet to the fire? What the frick does that even mean? Whatever he did, he did it to both UT and A&M, so WTF are you talking about?

Give me a break down of how UT destroyed the Big 12 and I'll show you how three schools (Colorado's cool, they were put in a corner and are the only one that has a legitimate gripe with Texas w/ the potential Pac16 merger) were sick of losing and ran off in search of greener pastures.
