The quarter and Bourbon are tourist areas. You aren't going to have many LSU fans who haven't been to these areas before. In 03 and 07 the only time a lot of LSU fans were on Bourbon or in the quarter in overwhelming numbers was gameday. Many locals hardly ever go to the quarter to begin with, so it will look much different around the area tomorrow.

Was here in '03 and '07. This mix is different. Bammers are everywhere.

Also heard there are tons staying in Biloxi, plus more with outside-the-city hotels.

I see it mostly as a slight advantage to LSU (55/45). I'm assuming that a ton of tickets given out are corporate tickets. I know a number of people who are LSU fans that got their tickets because they know people on the Sugar Bowl committee.

against LSU? I'm not saying it'll be the deciding factor, I'm just saying that it's different.

This is shocking only to the delusional LSU fans that have argued all along that LSU fans would dominate the dome.

everyone has said it would be about 60/40..

if LSU gets a little over that, it will be 48k LSU fans to 28k Bama fans..

thats about what it was for the NCG last year, with Auburn having the majority... i was there, it definitely seemed like an Auburn home game.. they drown out Oregon fans the whole game..

the only delusion on the matter came from gumps who were grossly misinformed on how the tickets were divided up and thought they would have a majority

How do LSU fans travel to bowl games not in their state? What was the split in the Cap 1 bowl against PSU?

Do you guys travel as well as other schools?

It was always going to be more Bama fans on the streets in the quarter. That's their home for the weekend. Not many people are surprised by that. That doesn't change the fact that their will be at least 50% more LSU fans at the game. A lot of you gumps were bragging about a 50/50 split a few weeks ago. Those are the people that will be shocked.

i think its all about destination/opponent for LSU fans

i was at the SECCG, at it was 75% UGA fans.. maybe not a fair game to judge though.

I went to the U-Dub game in Seattle, and LSU fans were everywhere. Same for the Oregon game in Dallas.

LINK?

Most LSU people assumed it would be like 03 and 07, about 60-40.

Even at 50-50, it will make it a little more difficult for the bama O.

biggest game for bama away from BDS, against an SEC foe, in a LONG time.

That just adds to AJ's pressure.

Even if it's 50/50 LSU fans would drown out the gumps because these don't make noise:
