We simply declined to play and allowed the Gator Bowl to replace us. It doesn't count as a loss and is not a forfeit. Was it a bitch move? Maybe, but still not a forfeit.

Only positive thing is that it allowed them to find another opponent. Can't say that about some other teams that pulled out right before kickoff.

Of course not. They opted out early which allowed WF to find another opponent. I'm glad the game will still go on, just wish we didn't opt out. Better than opting out 4 hours before kickoff and canceling a bowl game altogether with all the fans already there
