It is a line the bammers have been clinging to for 9 years. Every year they get more frustrated by it.

Why is anyone frustrated? Alabama is 6-2 versus Auburn since Newton left for the NFL. Alabama is 8-4 versus Auburn under Nick Saban.

We ask ourselves that all the time. Why are you so infatuated with Auburn? I mean, you are winning the series but for some reason, it all most of you gumps talk about

You make a good point, Lanier. The hatred, and with some Auburn fans, the jealousy and envy just creates animus among Bama people (it's human nature). It's the case with many LSU fans, too.
We've got no solid reason to hate either Auburn or LSU because we have winning records against BOTH of y'all in most ALL sports, but it's just natural to dislike people who dislike you.

No, again it is the only thing in most Bama Fans lives that they could feel superior to Auburn Fans. It doesn’t matter the number of NCs, it is all about that AU won something that none of them thought would ever happen. They are still hanging on to maybe it will be taken away.

SkyKing, you're like a moth to a flame!..I can set my clock to when you'll show up for one of my posts...and we're talking minutes!
Your envy, jealousy and hatred for all things Univ. of Alabama is so obvious to EVERYBODY on this forum that it's become a fact of life around here....yet you deny it.
Finally, just for kicks, tell us why Bama fans should want to "feel superior" to Auburn fans?.....hell, my daddy was an Auburn graduate!

They were desperate, it was State and they were just coming off possibly their worst decade ever (which is saying a lot) so they were scrambling to get money, calling everybody.

They went to the NCAA bc they were butthurt that Cecil didn't actually have control of his son and Cam went where he wanted which was Auburn. Cam knew nothing, or maybe he didn't care since he knew he was going to make several hundred times that amount in the NFL anyway. And Auburn actually self reported this before State did after they caught wind of the failed scheme. State only acted out of butthurt and an to save their own skin.

This isn't that hard to figure out if you take off your crimson glasses

Auburn fans are always so full of shite.

So why didn't Miss St get in trouble if it was documented their boosters were out there trying to buy players?

The actual reason why Cam wanted to go to Miss St was Dan Mullen had just been hired there, and Cam was obviously familiar with him because of Florida.

Thus why Cam apologized to them saying "The money was too good".

And trying to claim he didn't need the money because he was about to make NFL money is just straight up reinventing the past. He wasn't seen as that when he came to Auburn, if he had been - he probably wouldn't have been looking at Miss St or Auburn to start with. Auburn coming off an 8-5 season wasn't on anyone's radar.

Keep living the dream though!

This post is full of bullshite.

#1 I'm sure there might be a few crazy/weird/backwards fans out there, but there is no way in hell it's "most".

And even if there were...who the frick cares? It doesn't matter. But it's the same tired arse line Auburn fans like to bring out.

#2. There is no way in hell Auburn is ever going to have that NC taken from them and I don't know anyone who remotely thinks what you said. Like even the dumbest Alabama fan doesn't think that.

So I think you're just full of shite.

Are you actually denying they didn't? The boosters were interviewed and it's on record. Ask the NCAA why they didn't punish State and why their rules are or were the way they are or were.

nobody with options "wants" to go to Mississippi State. Name one out of state 5* that's ever signed with Miss St. It's rare they even land OOS 4*s and half the ones they do are Louisiana guys that didn't get LSU offers.

Lol at Dan Mullen being a reason he wanted to go there bc he was familiar with him, Mullen is an asshat and even State people will tell you so, that's what Cam was familiar with.

State may have been the favorite at one point til better offers came in, but when Cam committed in Dec 2009 we were battling with Oklahoma as the biggest threat, not State.

Coach is senile at this point. Arguing with him is akin to elder abuse.

But kudos to his kids for putting him up in an old folks home with a good internet connection

It's been an interesting, yet repetitive, argument so far. My only question is why did coach had his dick out?

@ calling it an infatuation because you don't like hearing the truth about it.

The topic of cheaters came up.

You claimed the boosters were the ones who came up with the plan, and that they couldn't come up with their own amount. That's not what happened. It was Cam Newton's dad that was shopping him around.

You don't want to admit that because if he was being shopped around it means he went to the highest bidder.

Not sure why you are pretending your opinion of Mullen has anything to do with the relationship Cam had with him at Florida.

If it was not a good relationship, why would Mullen offer and why would he even think about it?

Because Mullen never puts QB's in the NFL? I guess according to Auburn fan logic, going with Gene and Gus, a failed HC/former DC and a High school OC instead of the guy known to be good with QBs.

He was a 5 star before he got kicked out of school at Florida.

You're completely rewriting history.

NCAA “enforcement” staff:

John Duncan - VP Enforcement (KU)
Chris Strobel - Director of Enforcement (KU)
Derrick Crawford - Director of Enforcement (Bama)
Chris Howard - Director of Enforcement (KU)
Donald Remy - Chief Operating Officer (LSU

Interesting

Totally ignoring the most thorough investigation in the history of the NCAA because you do not like the truth is what Bama Fans have been doing for 9 years. Trying to fit it into your narrative is infatuation.
