ATL has become a total shite hole. I was in town for the weekend a month+ ago. Saw a show at the Buckhead Theater, ate at the restaurants, etc. I told my wife on the drive home I was never going back. It’s become a literal shite hole like Philadelphia. It’s a race between ATL & Austin to see which city can become the inner sanctum of hell the fastest.

There's an obsession on these boards with Atlanta supposedly being such a "shithole" (usually coming from NOLA or Baton Rouge posters, how ironic) that the SEC title game needs to move for safety reasons.

They've got to get it out of Atlanta. UGA football has had an unfair advantage for too long. It is home game everytime they make it.

Bama has a winning record vs UGA in Atlanta. This talk of UGA having an unfair advantage is dumb.

My son lives 3 blocks from the Buckhead Theater and thinks the moon and sun rises and sets in Atlanta...it is a matter of perspective. As far as the SE goes though Atlanta is without peer in any meaningful measure. I was born and raised in Atlanta and lived there until I was 31 years old...I wouldn't want to live in Atlanta again but not because it has changed for the worse but because I have changed...I no longer am ate up with dining in very good but very expensive restaurants and going to live entertainment events a couple of times a week like I was in my 20s....its all about perspective. For Atlanta to be so despised from so many folks from other parts of the south there sure is a pile of y'all who can't earn a living in heaven who have to relocate to hell....

Americans are ATE up with irrational fears...it is a crippling disease and has to be exhausting for those thusly afflicted. Personally I refuse to allow my life to be driven by irrational fear...it is no way to live.

Two totally different things. BBall tourney is over several days and Nashville is suited for that.

And I just got back from a trip to Nashville. Bums and freaks everywhere. It aint what it was 10-15 years ago.

Also stupidly overpriced for what amounts to Augusta Georgia with more live music...Nashville was a sleepy little town for most of its history for a reason...the attraction for bahcelorette parties will fade and it will be again...

of course it's dumb. As is the case wiht the vast majority fo football games plyed, regardless of location, the better team generally wins. Here is how UGA has fared in the SECCG:

02 Arkansas: We were the much better team. Win.
03 LSU: LSU was teh better team and national champs. Loss
05 LSU: Both teams were pretty evenly matched. Win.
11 LSU: LSU was one of hte best teams of all time and far superior. Loss.
12 Bama: Teams were pretty dead evenly matched and the game refelcted that coming down to the last play. Loss.
17 AU: We were one of the 2 or 3 best teams in America. Win.
18 Bama: Bama was far far better, it's miraculous we kept it as close as we did. Loss
19 LSu: One of the top 5 teams in CFB history. Loss.
21 Bama: Evenly matched teams. Loss
22 LSU: We were clearly better. Win

The only times that I could rationally argue the locatin/crowd played a factor was in 2011 by us hanging around until ahlftime, and 2018 us hanging around for 3.5 quarters. Both times we were CLEARLY the inferior team. Both times we still ended up losing.

what waterheads like you don't seem to grasp is that the instant the SECCG were to leave Atlanta, the ACC would swoop in in milliseconds and claim it forever. That aint happening

Why would we care if we left Atlanta voluntarily for greener pastures?

I’m not an Atlanta seccg hater. But I don’t see why we should concern ourselves with worrying about what the ACC is going to do.

The reason why the SEC CG is the only popular one is became 1. The two teams are year in year out two of the best teams in the nation 2. It was the first 3. People in SEC country are college football obsessed

Yet you want to move the SEC title game to a city (Nashville) that has a HIGHER violent crime rate.
This is exactly what I was talking about.

Nah - I haven’t changed, but ATL has. I still enjoy live music and the edgier side of life. You realize they call it “Buckhood” for a reason. I saw queen a few years back in ATL and there had to be armed security details outside the hotel (all the hotels) near the venue.

…most of those jobs you talking about up GA400 in Alpharetta or Marietta? Lots of Yankee evacuees living there these days. I’m just saying…

Atlanta (downtown area)is a shithole. I travel there frequently for work. Nola has become a violent shithole as well. It’s always been dirty but other than the food I don’t miss Nola at all. The mayor of Nola has run that city into the ground. Outside of downtown Atlanta it’s nice , but you have to be some kind of homer to think that Atlanta is some great city

Are you responding to me or someone else? I didn’t say I wanted Nashville. I just pointed out what a shitty city Atlanta is.

perfect central location

To whom? To Florida? Arkansas? Ok? Texas? It's not central to nothing. If anything one of the Mississippi school stadiums is more "central" than any other stadium.
