Going to need to start the playoffs a week earlier moving forward. Currently the portal closes before the national championship game

They will have an extension for the players who play in the later rounds in the playoffs. That is what they had this past year.

Keep in mind you can be in the portal and participate in the post season. In this era, I think that would have to be an accepted reality that while someone may be trying to better themselves for next year they can still contribute to the current year and that would also help their standing in the portal, giving them incentive to want to play.

I loved our Baseball Coaches stance on that. You go in the portal and you are no longer a member of our baseball team. Good Luck and we wish you all the best!!

1. Place big bets on semifinals or championship.
2. Get with NIL collectives to buy out key players. Put up 20-30% to get them immediately.

Ummmm….. you do realize that this is still “college” football, right?
I know, I know!! Everyone is getting paid and players rarely even go to class.
But… they still have to officially be students in order to participate in Winter Strength programs and Spring Football. Classes start around January 20th. You have to be enrolled and start classes on time in order to participate in team activities.

Probably to keep it from running into the spring semester so they can start classes.
