#1 Alabama
#6 Auburn
#12 Florida
#16 Kentucky
#21 Arkansas
#32 Tennessee
#39 Texas
#57 Oklahoma
#96 Vanderbilt
#128 Miss State
#133 Ole Miss
#206 South Carolina
#226 Texas A&M
#241 LSU
#283 Missouri
#322 Georgia

Those are some absolute arse schedules there at the bottom. Georgia’s is quite honestly unbelievable. They’ll need to go 11-7 in SEC play to make the tournament. They will enter SEC play without a single Top 100 NET win.

Sometimes the NET doesn't make much sense.

Georgia is 11-1, no Quad One wins, but is 20th in NET.

LSU is 11-1, has a top 50 win, and is 41st in NET.

The NET is weighted entirely too much on metrics ("how well you played aka KenPom") vs resume ("who you beat and lost to").

I love KenPom as a metric to see how well a team is playing, but winning games and who those games were against is what should matter.

Yeah, I am not a fan of that at all. LSU last night is a perfect example. It's difficult for these guys to get up for every game. That's where I think coaches need to do a better job of scheduling. What is beating Prairie View A&M really doing for your program?

And to compound it

4 Top 100 teams
W vs #87 Minnesota (83-60)
L @ #79 Notre Dame (76-71)
L @ #11 Kansas (80-60)
L vs #10 Illinois (N) (91-48)

I would think it’s common sense no one would be considering football SOS in the middle of December.

Agree. WAB is probably the best indicator in terms of actual resumes.

Current WAB according to Torvik…

#5 Vanderbilt (+3.6)
#13 Alabama (+2.4)
#25 Auburn (+1.4)
#29 Arkansas (+1.2)
#30 LSU (+1.1)
#32 Tennessee (+1.0)
#37 Georgia (+1.0)
#45 Florida (+0.6)
#47 Kentucky (+0.5)
#54 Oklahoma (+0.26)
——————————
#66 Missouri (-0.2)
#78 Texas (-0.5)
#84 Texas A&M (-0.7)
#115 Ole Miss (-1.5)
#125 Miss State (-1.7)
#139 South Carolina (-1.8)

I feel like it’s going to be almost impossible for those bottom 3 or 4 teams to make the tournament.

Well most Georgia fans are inbreds from South Georgia so they lack critical thinking skills.

Maybe someone was trying to pile it on the Aggies.

With such a tough schedule, maybe Freeze should have been given more time.

For A&M this was a pure rebuild year. Buzz left and took literally what was left of the roster and did it as late as possible to try and frick us. He was actively using his recruiting time to get guys to go to Maryland. I would love for A&M to sue his arse.

Bucky has come in and put together a solid roster in a hurry and a fun style of ball to watch. If we get anywhere close to the Tourney this year that's a huge win. Have no issues with us having a light schedule considering many of our players barely knew each other to start the season.

I’m surprised OU is that high but we have played some decent games. Last year we were way lower even though we were undefeated before conf play. 9-3 this year.

Portal Moser seems to have built a decent team. I’m sure having Trae Young as assistant GM helps. But they are doing better than I thought and its a do or die year for Porter. We can’t just stagger into the last few playoff spots we need to be securely in.

Oh, and the Russians are coming the Russians are coming!

Russian prospect Kirill Elatontsev has committed to Oklahoma and will be eligible for the second semester.

6-11 big man should have an instant impact for the Sooners up front
