Ridiculous. How are we 79 with 12 conf wins and an SOS less than 20 while MSU (sorry to pick on you) has 8 conf wins and a low SOS. Something is wrong with how this metric is calculated.

agree, but only based off my opinion of vanderbilt where they are as a team right now. guess i'm being subjective with an "eye test" which ain't perfect either.

It’s a bad metric, but Vandy has 2 Q3 and 1 Q4 losses. State has 1 Q3 loss.

Even worse, one Q3 and the Q4 were lost at home whereas State’s lone Q3 loss was on the road @ UGA.

The "eye test" would assign the SEC teams quite differently:

1. Bama
2. A&M
3. Missouri
4. Tennessee
5. Vanderbilt
6. Kentucky
7. Arkansas
8t. Miss State
8t. Auburn

Why is NET significant? It won't be the determining factor by the selection committee.

My eyes watched UK sweep UT this year and had a better conference record. UT is 1-3 against Vandy and UK.

1. Bama
2. A&M
3. Missouri
4. Vandy
5. UK
6. UT

Not sure why this got down voted its a solid power ranking based off who beat who and recent success.

For shits and giggles, I went to CBS’s projections to get something non Lunardi.

CBS has 5 SEC teams in:
Alabama, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Missouri, Kentucky

With State as last four in. Will be interesting tomorrow. I thought we were getting 8 in?

Arkansas is the most talented

7. Auburn
8. State
9. Arkansas

State beat Arkansas in Fayetteville. Auburn beat State and Arkansas at home. Auburn 10-8 in conference, Arky and State 8-10.

Arkansas, Miss. State and Auburn are all "bubble teams" IMO.

Arkansas has a win over San Diego State and Texas A&M, but their overall unimpressive SEC slate makes it hard to understand how they became a universal "lock" to make the field
