I've decided to embark on a trip to Tuscaloosa this weekend last minute with some friends. My last visit was in 2007 and I wore purple and gold, tomorrow I will be in green and gold.

Not a big SEC game, and most CSU fans are there to experience big time football and expect a stern rodgering.

Any suggestions on bars, restraints, tailgates? TIA

Take your sister and breed her behind the houndstooth bar so you can get the full bammer experience

I've never had a problem there. Don't listen to haters. They'll poke at you a little in good fun but we all do that. You'll have a fun experience and get fed well too.

Hit up Druid City Brewing. Good beer and a relaxed attitude. Avoid Dreamland's Ribs, but get you a to go order of Archibalds.

I thought this only happened at parties attended by AU football players?

Yeah Druid City is fun. Go to the quad and tailgate. Check out the bars on the strip. Plenty of places there to eat and drink.

Do we even need to bring up the DUI percentage for Lee County or the murders?

Better yet, road conditions.

Eat breakfast at the Waysider. But be there early. Or it will be a long wait.

Have a Bloody Mary at Eagans. Then walk around campus. See the sites. Maybe check out the Bryant Musuem. Football, baseball, and basketball facilities are across the street.

Head back to The Strip. Watch the earlier games at The Houndstooth. It you don't like the crowds, Black Warrior Brewing downtown has a nice set up for gameday.

One less LSU fan to worry about in November. Works for me.

If you expect this, then you will believe you're in heaven when you get there. Our campus is as beautiful as ever. And also, your CSU buddies will love the experience. Our fans won't be nasty to that kind of program's fans. Guaranteed they will love their day.

Do the walk of champions of course. Love or hate any program for its winning, it's still cool history.

Temerson square is where I like to hang out if I ever go downtown. Lots of bars and eats, but it's a little far from the stadium to want to walk to. It's near the bridge going across the Black Warrior.

100% agree with all that, too.

This guy has a good rhythm, clearly.

I would wager a fair amount y'all are going to love the trip if you're actually into college football life. Tuscaloosa ain't a big place to do a ton... but it's a damn fine looking college football town.
