I'm glad they aren't talking about Vandy. The victim doesn't need or I'm sure want that attention and publicity for this

Cruiserhog, selling your autograph for money is not cheating.
It is a violation of an NCAA rule much like wearing the wrong socks is an NFL rule violation.
Selling autographs gives you no competiitive advantage when the ball is kick, unlike say, juicing steriods.

Is that a rhetorical question?

If those Vandy players had been UT players, this would be front page national news
Edit: I'm not downplaying the seriousness of this crime, it was awful and no one should ever have to be subject to something like this

In the rape case, it's pretty clear what happened. It's pretty clear it's a crime. There's no national debate to be had. The criminals get their day in court, justice will prevail.
While smaller potatoes, the JFF situation set the stage for a great national debate ranging from the degree of self-control a 20 year old should possess to rights over a college student-athlete's likeness and ability to earn money to questioning the very nature of the NCAA itself.
This should have been the end of the thread.

Well, you got part of the answer right; if he goes down for it, he'll become the biggest laughingstock in college sports. The distance to fall is a big part of what makes this such a compelling story.

Why is the Manziel story so much bigger than the Vandy rape story, where someone was genuinely harmed and will probably never recover from what was done to her?
Best topic I have ever seen on the rant.
I can tell you the reason. It's because we don't want the world to know the "dirty side" to football or NCAA sports for that matter. It's bad for business. It's the same mentality that PSU had. If is swept under the rug, nobody knows. If I act like I didn't see it, then it didn't really happen.
With JFF, it's great publicity and ratings.

The police have already interview the girl in Nashville.
NCAA is scheduled to interview JFF next February.
