You mean you don’t want to see him win a National Championship.

How do you keep up with all the different recruiting services? I’ve seen LSU as high as 5 and as low as 12.

Still, not bad though

Many LSU fans were saying he would recruit a lot better at LSU than he did at Notre Dame. What went wrong?

Of course LSU is behind them. Kids want to go to a good school where the coach doesn't kill them at practice, or actively putting the stars back in when they're obviously concussed.

It was probably a selling point in ND's recruiting.

"Hey! At least your coach won't kill you!"

Their obsession is because prior to Kelly, LSU had an idiot in Miles and a buffoon in Orgeron. With Kelly you basically have an adult pacing the LSU sidelines now. Kelly will win a Championship for LSU before he's done in Baton Rouge.

So? When was the last time ND was close to being relevant?

Almost as impressive as Saban’s first 2 years here, taking over under somewhat similar circumstances.

LOL, no. Taking over from Gerry DiNardo is not the same as taking over a program that won national titles under its previous two coaches. I wish the SEC had not taken away LSU vs. Auburn because Hugh Freeze is going to outdo Kelly. It won't be quite as obvious with them not meeting head to head.

lol. We’re top 10, and only 2 other teams on that list won a natty more recently than us.

I think we’ll be okay.

This is why they amplify every little "negative" thing they perceive about LSU's program.

Holy shite you’ve got some bad takes in here

Reading through this thread, this was my exact thought. The same guy that trolls about the Bama decline (which was an impressive run by any other SEC school's standards, minus UGA) is in here trying to use BK's record at Notre Dame playing cupcakes to forecast success at LSU.

If it was Bama we were discussing, LSU fans would have a field day. But we are clearly 'melting' when we point out that LSU not making the transformation into a sustained, elite program like their fans hope.

Do we really want to discuss head coaches and recruiting classes? Really?

Not so fast my friend...

LSU is not done.

This class was built for depth, and I truly enjoyed some of these aTm steals....

Reliford was huge, add in Gilbert at Safety...

I'm thrilled with everything going on, Echols tomorrow, Bussey and McKinley in February....

Let's check the rankings in February...

Hell the only thing better than pillaging aTm class will be doing it to Bama when the king takes his leave….

Well he is right to put LSU on that pedestal. It would be weird if he thought that Tennessee was on the same level as a program
