There’s a pretty clear difference in what Pete did as opposed to Lane trying to completely gut and burn the program down like he would have liked to do.
Everyone and their mother knows that Kiffin was trying to bring at least 10 of our starters with him to LSU. And if that’s what he wanted, it is what it is. But it’s an incredibly shitty thing to do.

You can't have an NIL contract without an underlying scholarship.
Additional NIL money is only a supplement to being a student athlete first.

The biggest difference is that there seems to be concrete evidence of Golding's issues while Kiffin's seem to exist only in stories.
