Quit taking the bait.

Yeah man. Sorry. Tournament is all about matchups and unfortunately this was a bad one. Bama would have fared far better against Michigan State or Tech or even Houston IMO.

100%. Back to back E8s for the first time in our history isn’t anything to be upset about.

I’m honestly more upset that we lost the UT game due to bad coaching and the Oregon game early in the season. If we had won those 2, we wouldn’t have been playing Duke tonight.

Honestly, I was shocked the whistle seemed decently balanced. Probably due to us being down big most of the game.

Yeah anyone calling out officiating is just biased. Both teams had bad ones called against them and some that weren't called but should have been.

Duke's defense was just relentless and Bama had no answer for Duke in the paint.

Great season for Bama.

I expect him to go to the league and basically be Blake Griffin without the highlight reel dunks.
Huh? Flagg has already played against NBAs best and held his own. The kid is legit like Kobe at 18. When NBA players acknowledge he’s different, you better believe he’s different. He’s a once a decade talent and will flourish at the next level. The kid should be playing in HS right now and he’s dominating against grown men in college (some 25/26 year olds). Did you miss his last game where he put up an easy 30?

I hate Duke but the kid is incredible. Blake Griffin was NBA rookie of the year, 6x NBA All Star all while dealing with a ton of injuries in his career. Not too shabby.

Thanks for that BigBen. When Auburn fans have some decency, which was shown in several posts since I posted, I realize not all of the rant are challenged.. that includes the fans of my team too!

I changed my mind and best to Auburn tomorrow.

He has also been playing the last ~2 months on a nagging ankle injury. He is a stud and has turned it in when we needed it the most throughout the season.

I’m not slighting him. The point of the comparison comes down to the fact that Blake Griffin was good ffs lol.

His game reminds me of Griffin’s though, just without the insane hops Blake had.

Man, yall are just posting gem after gem. Good thing your team won't have to worry about facing Duke again.

My bad. I read several comments of people badmouthing him and thought your post was too. I agree, comparing him to Griffin is no slight. You never know how guys will turn out at the next level but everything points to him being a franchise saver (Utah, maybe the Wizards). I can’t wait to watch him at the next level.

Thanks, man.

To the extent he has a weakness, you have to hope he gasses out like he did against UK and Clemson. Stamina isn’t quite there yet.

Yep, I hate Duke, but any fan of the game had to be impressed the way they held Bama down tonight. Not easy to do.

Duke has the talent to meld the Ole Miss and Auburn defensive game plans. They had the rim protection and athletic bigs to clog the lane and the length to contest the perimeter at the same time. Bama got up more three point attempts than in either of the Auburn games, but even the good looks were rushed due to Duke's close out ability.

One wonders what could have been had Wrightsell not gotten dinged against OU.

Agree, losing your best perimeter defender who is also your best 3 point shooter doesn’t typically work out well in the end. It was a good season all things considered.

Oats needs to stop getting small guards who struggle to defend if he wants a shot at a natty. He just got a good lesson on the type of talent he’ll need if he wants more than just a final four run (we had more length in 2021 and 2023, need to get back to that).
