Seems a bit long to me for them to decide, but I guess that's just the pace of the NCAA in resolving these matters these days.

LSU's basketball program 100% deserves the death penalty based on their backing of Will Wade in not cooperating with the NCAA.

However, this won't be the case. My guess is the following sanctions will come down:

- 5 year show-cause for Will Wade and Armstrong
- Loss of 2 scholarships for 3 years
- 2 years post-season ban
- 5 years probation

Maybe it's time for LSU to make the NCAA a good arse offer and self-impose sanctions on themselves. It won't happen though because the AD is sticking to his guns. Good luck with that.

And we all know Kansas is somehow going to get nothing even though their situation was just as bad (if not worse) than the Will Wade stuff.

Sorry they didn’t consider your unhealthy obsession in terms of deadlines.

I don't know what penalties LSU will get, but I do know the NCAA sucks.

This is your completely unbiased opinion right?

Not sure it hurts LSU as much as Wade. At times, the NCAA sticks it to the former coach more than the school.

It is not (and has never been) legal for a coach to negotiate the deal.

so IOW, we'll find out sometime around the SECT and/or selection Sunday this season

given what they just did, or rather didn't do, to Memphis, I'm not sure sure LSU gets hit as hard as you do.

With NIL and a lot of the allegations all these programs are facing following the FBI investigation, it appears as if the NCAA doesn't seem to want to hammer schools for paying players. They've also shown more recently that they're not as keen to effectively punish players who weren't even there when violations occurred. There isn't a single player on the roster anymore that was at LSU when all the allegations occurred. These allegations will have occurred 5-6 years prior by the time they rule. I do agree Wade will get a significant show cause, LSU will get probation, and have some form of scholarship reductions. I have my doubts they'll get a 2-year postseason ban. If they do, oh well. LSU sucked before Wade. If they suck after Wade, I won't lose any sleep. They've sucked more than they haven't my entire life.

What's another year
It's taken the NCAA a decade to piggyback off the FBI's investigation that showed the sham college hoops is and will continue to be while failing to implicate the coaches that have been doing this for a long time.
Older coaches didn't like young coaches like Wade infringing on their territory and neither did Vitale who has protected the blue bloods.

Good, wrong, or indifferent, the sanctions I mentioned really aren’t that terrible except for the 2 year post season ban. I find that punishment to be a deterrent and LSU will be a made an example of, especially since they aren’t a “blue blood” and there was a lot more media attention about Will Wade.

It does make me sick to see the other programs likely to go almost unscathed in this whole mess.

And frick Vitale for backing Duke and Kansas, but bashing LSU (I was ok with this independently, but he needs to be consistent).

The NCAA is a joke for how long these investigations take. By the time they come up with a punishment, everyone involved is usually long gone.
