Let's say one of these 7 on 7 or scouting service gurus asks AU for money for the next great 5* athlete without that athlete's knowledge. AU says no. The athlete is overwhelmed by the recruiting process and trusts the guru to help him make the right decision. That guru then steers the 5* athlete to Bama, without receiving any illegal benefit. Should the kid no longer be able to play college football?
If he signed with the scouting service, yes he should be ineligible. If it is a parent or guardian, it shouldn't matter, he is ineligble anyways.

Move on in a second, can you show me a link or quote where Kenny Rogers says he did not direct Cam to Blinn, or aid in getting Cam into Blinn?
If I spent enough time searching, but I dont care to at this point. I read an article a while back where he said he actually met Cam while he was at Blinn.
Also your quote says after he left UF. and you are assuming that means before he enrolled in Blinn. Which was pretty much immediatly after he left UF that he enrolled into Blinn

Again, parent or guardinan.
You know there are lots of shitty people in the world that do things to harm their children, make decisions regarding their children, and the child is none the wiser.
Personally, I think Cam knew what was going on (but it can't be proven, so it's a moot point). But the fact that someone could do this without their child's knowledge, and then said child get into trouble is just not logical imo.

I dont care about this crap anymore bro, I'm just here for entertainment purposes on this topic.

I'm sorry hun that was a low blow on my part. Forgive me?
LSU had the #1 defense last season correct? Or am I remembering that wrong?
Idk... There is still that whole deal with the orange. I forgive you I guess..
Depends on who you ask. If you ask an LSU fan it was us and we will be better this year. If you ask a Bama fan it was them and they are better this year. If you ask the swine they will say their defense this entire next century is the best there ever will be and the rest are second to the flagship

It's tough shite. I mean c'mon man. Bama was nailed for Means, even though Means knew nothing, Bama knew nothing. It was his high school coach and a rogue booster. NCAA dropped the ball on this and there is no way around that.

I don't know if Cam was paid, or what happened, but it still doesn't seem fair to me.
For example, let's say a high profile player wants to go to Auburn, His dad solicits money from Auburn for his son's services. Auburn doesn't pay, then the high profile player goes to Alabama.
In this situation, Auburn is put at a disadvantage due to having to pay to secure the players services, while Alabama wasn't.
The NCAA needs to clean up this loop hole. In my opinion, the player should be supsended and nothing happen to either university. If not, then a player can just have his parents solicit money from a school, if he gets turned down, then he can go to another school and play, also punishes the school that was solicited. There has to be reprecusions for this.
(Yes, I am mad that we didn't get Cam Newton )
Quick question ~
What if one of the schools you're letting off the hook had upto 3 (THREE) former players/alumni/boosters involved in the solicitation of said player?
What's in place to stop those same former players/alumni/boosters froming continuing on with their auction block for future recruits?

Unfortunately, in that situation, money changed hands. Which made that a whole different ball of wax.

Bama was nailed for more than just Means. Or was it just a signed napkin

But Means could play somewhere else. And he did.
