it should have been a dead ball, so they got the call right.. but the triple play was pretty cool to see.. and then to have it wiped out and for her to go yard… all you can do is laugh.

yeah, i sure was laughing. but the "triple play" was a result of the Aggie batter not even running to 1st because she knew the ball was a dead ball, and the Aggie on 2nd not even running to 3rd for the same reason. (theres no way texas was going to throw someone out at 3rd afrer going home if she was running. it was only after mass confusion and then texas throwing to 1st eithout the ump calling iy deaf when she decided to try for 3rd. kind of a keystone cops thing.

In other words, had that been a real hit, the runners would've all been running and there would've been runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out.

it was pretty poor umping to not pick up that dead ball from the start.

Finals from the late games on 5/24:

#9 LSU 11 @ #8 Stanford 1 - (LSU leads 1-0)

#2 Oklahoma and #6 UCLA have punched their tickets to Oklahoma City so far.

I think we see 4 SEC teams wrap it up today: LSU, UF, Vols, A&M.

If A&M wins this super, it would be a huge upset and change the dynamic of the WCWS.

Nah it just means Oklahoma will have an easier road with the elimination of Texas.

As a fan of the underdog, I am pulling for A&M to take down Texas, but you might be right in that eliminating Texas only makes it easier for OU. But hey, that is why they play the games. You just never know.

OU is a great team. But not the juggernaut of past 3 years. They have to fight and claw much more and there are some good teams in the tourney who could pull the upset. Losing Jordy Bahl after last season was big.

But they seem to be coming into their own at the right time. Have some outstanding seniors for leadership and some starting freshman who produce. Pitching has improved as well.

I think the shorthornettes will win next 2 games and be in. Stoolwater is also good.

Lots of ball yet to play. Gotta feel for FSU, OU knocked them out 3 of past 4 years. Maybe that was intentional by NCAA after football shenanigans?

Can someone start a new thread since this thread was started before the regionals?

I’ll roll with this one through the end of Supers (since we’re about halfway through) and then I’ll create a fresh one for the WCWS. If that works?

Get ready for OU and Texas to run the SEC. And the only ones that can beat them will be OSU.

Texas lost to aTm yesterday.

Yet another sport where the competition will be consistently better than what OU and Texas are used to seeing in conference play.

No doubt the SEC is better overall than the Big 12…but it’s not like OU has struggled in the post-season against non-Big 12 teams. I can see why you all would be somewhat confident against us in football, but we’re automatically and immediately the big dog in the conference in softball when we come in.

We also get the extremely unfair advantage of playing the WCWS in our backyard. I don’t agree with it but consider it payback for having to play multiple football national title games in the home state of the other team.

Don't ever count out the UCLA Bruins. They steamrolled Georgia and are headed to their 32nd WCWS, a record. They're on a roll.

UCLA has won a record 12 national titles with Arizona second with 8, followed by Oklahoma with 7.
