Seems like an SEC vs. BIG12 dominated WCWS. Only one Big10 team makes it with the Bugeaters. PAUSE. Forgot about UCLA vs the Gamecocks. Go USC!

LSU @ Alabama next weekend
Can’t wait to hear about how softball is either a nothing sport that only losers care about (if Bama wins), or a sport with such profound cultural impact that fans of a team that loses in a super regional should all commit suicide out of shame (if LSU wins).

I’m reminded of 2010 - Alabama got the one seed, lost the supers at home to Hawaii.

It’s far from guaranteed that Alabama will win. This time of year, nothing is guaranteed.

OKST just hit a grand slam to go up 9-2 on Stanford in the bottom of the 5th.

If OKST wins, the Pokes advance. If Stanford rallies, it would force another game tonight.

Go POKES.

Stanford just got a 2-run homer to avoid getting run ruled/eliminated.

Headed to the 7th with the Pokes up 11-5.

OKST eliminates Stanford 11-5 and moves on to the Super Regional at Nebraska.

Nobody's gonna spoil their summer break by making them play more ball.

Not really a good team. Lack of a top level pitcher for several years now.

Likely saved us an embarrassment next weekend.

How do you feel about the Ruby-Jordy matchup...or just the teams in general? Pokes looked elite at times this year.

Arkansas quietly won all 3 games this weekend via run rule.

In the past we’ve had a dominant arm and a dominant bat or two. This year, it really is more of a team effort. 3 above average pitchers but none are elite elite. A couple hitters that can knock the ball out of the yard but nothing like Ellis or Malkin from years past.

Maybe this is the formula we’ve been missing

I must confess complete ignorance as to Nebraska.

The Pokes have been incredibly hot over the last 25 games, but Ruby is the only pitcher who inspires true confidence.

I'm kinda the same. I planned on watching more of the Huskers than I actually got around to. I'm looking forward to the series though.

Arkansas is about as scary as any team out there from what I've seen. The championship seems more wide open than any I can think of in the last 7 or 8 years at least, and I'd put Arkansas right in there.

I was only able to watch a few Pokes games this season. I haven't seen a single UGA game
