State earned that win. They went down big twice and fought back both times. OU has only themselves to blame when scoring 9.
Congrats to State and makes games 2 and 3 very interesting.
I also read somewhere State was like 11-10 on the road so to pull this away game out is huge for them and the program. Will help recruiting too

First loss for OU in a Super Regional since 2015. Winning every Super since 2015 is crazy. Winning every game during that stretch is next level.

The biggest head scratcher to me is how OU has failed getting better pitchers. With their pedigree it means they are making bad choices. Is that Rocha or Patty or both? It really is a mystery and not just this year. Its been awhile since they recruited and gotten an ace type pitcher. Have relied on transfers mostly. Jordy might be last one?

I mean, Berzon was All-SEC at LSU before she transferred to OU and Guachino was a Freshman All-American at Ole Miss, so it's not like they went after bad players in the portal.

Here’s the story on State.
They have been good but not good enough to compete with the top of the SEC. They got no breaks in their schedule draw this year and faced seven of the top eight teams in the conference, so that 9-15 conference mark is deceiving.
