We had good pitching last year and outside of Kavan, the same girls are just mid this year. What happened

I don’t follow softball like I do baseball, but I do look at box scores, and I do watch games from time to time, and in my opinion, hitting has improved across the country.
I don’t know if that’s true, but that’s the way it seems, and I’m also not sure why that would be true if it is true.

Smaller strike zones all year have made hitting look better everywhere.

Last time I visited Clemson's campus all I could think is that it's severely under-appreciated on the "hot college chicks" scale.

It will be really interesting to see how things go if she gets the Huskers to OKC to face her old team.
I'm sure she will get a warm welcome when she comes out on the field... but OU fans are going to die a thousand deaths if she beats them...
Because we all know that if she were still at OU... the odds of them winning a fifth in a row would be pretty high... But since she isn't at OU... I am taking the field this year.
As for Jordy herself... She gave up an NC to go home... but I don't know if she would have ever been able to get on the field as a batter or a position player at OU... Despite the fact that it is now clear that she is as at least as good a batter as OU has... and maybe as good as they have ever had.
