I don't understand at all how you people are calling the HUNH "pussy" - OF COURSE limiting it would favor top tier teams more because they are 3 deep at every position and can rotate in fresh studs at every single position.

Yall are crying about how the defense doesn't get to sub, but if an O is running the HUNH then they aren't subbing either... same 11 guys on both sides the ball... playing ball... oh the horrors.

If you're a less talented team, overall, god forbid you try and place your best 11 on the field and play football instead of having to play your best 11 vs their best 47 guys. Or if you somehow managed to grossly f up your defensive lineup on the field call a timeout.

Making a rule change to stop a 'strategy' that seems to me to be specifically designed to compete with talent stockpiled juggernauts such as alabama would be criminal

We're just fine, thank you.

I will accept and enjoy any rule changes that better the game.

When it was 17-17 with 5 minutes left? 24 points total? How many was that below your average? Yes, LSU does hold the magic key. They've proven that over and over again.

17.1 points was our average so 10 points does not scream game changer to me.

I expect this year to be completely different when considering that you'll be facing a 2nd year QB on HIS home turf where you barely won the previous year. Seems like LSU needs this rule change as desperately as Saban and Bert

The smell of fear permeates the Southeast

True but if the O can sub regardless of whether the D needs or wants to sub, should the D be able to do the same? I don't know the answer but I think that's the fundamental question here.

you hope, because your entire offense would collapse otherwise. Personally I would like to see a rule put in place for player safety that actually favours the defense for a change. First step towards turning checkers back to chess

You aren't runing down another teams throat jackleg, you are getting players tired by not allowing subs, and YOU KNOW THIS.

That's the whole idea behind this chickenshyt offense and the NCAA as do I, see this as a saftey issue.

The NFL is played with huge linemen on both sides of the ball, and we can't allow sissy azz coaches to force linemen to play at 190 pounds to keep from giving out.

The offense mihht control the snap, but they shouldn't control the sub pattern, it is a health isue when you have, 300 pound linemen playing 10 plays in a row at a fast clip just so your pussy team can get an advantage.

One heat stroke in 90 degree weather is all it would take to get a lawsuit started up.

I understand where you're coming from, but shouldn't it be as simple as - you have the football, you decide when to snap it?

Actually it wouldn't it's not like we snapped it a lot before the clock hit 28 or something.

I enjoy this wishful thinking in here from bama fans though, you scared.

In the NFL, the refs control the tempo of the game. Not the offense.

There is. It's called flag football.

I'm sure you gumps would love to see this rule change passed. If you can't beat it, get it outlawed.

Having to play straight up pro-style against a team with the top recruiting classes for the past 5 years is a safety issue if you're Ole Miss.

And soccer and rugby (I think rugby) don't have time between plays.

Next rule will be that you can't run the Ball 2 plays in a row.

After that they will have the Defense having to give the Offense the okay to snap the Ball.
