They would be opening up a pandora's box if Cam were ruled ineligible. Let's throw out the fact that there is no proof Cam knew, no proof Cecil got money, and no proof that Auburn did anything whatsoever.

Think about next time when a high school coach (a father figure so to speak) for Johhny Stud Muffin says to Coach Big Time BCS, I'll get you Johnny for half a million. They turn it down. He signs elsewhere because Coach Big Time BCS says screw that, and subsequently Coach Big Time BCS reports it to Big BCS conference and NCAA.

Does Johnny Stud Muffin need to pay for a greed high school coaches' greed or bad decision?

I don't think so.

I'm going to go ahead and let you know they found that Cecil had violated rules through solicitation

Except the fact that the NCAA said in it's report that he shopped Cam.

Btw, Johnny would be ineligible too.

You've got it arse backwards.

Pandora's box wasn't opened by ruling him INeligible, but by reinstating his eligibility.

BRB entertaining all SEC bids on my 17yo cousin who's a center, and my 13yo cousin who's a QB. Don't worry, they don't know.

....the kid knew what his father was doing, but there is no way to prove it. BUT, good way to lay out an example using a non-related coach instead of a loving/religious father.

No it doesn't. What they found is officially against the rules. They fricked up the stupid one day turn around on eligibility. They would have been better off just shutting the frick up about it.

You're half irght, IMO. NCAA didn't lower the boom because if they had ruled Cam ineligible then Cam's family, Auburn, and perhaps even the SEC would sue the hell out of the NCAA, creating a media firestorm and a lawsuit that would cost the NCAA millions. Like everything else with this case, this is a money issue, and letting Cam play while citing lack of evidence was the safe way to save cash and face with the SEC office

it has been established that diddy cam was indeed participating in the slave trading of his child.

Now if everyone thinks scott moore is credible, scott is hell bent on the notion that there are texts and tapes that can and will prove this.

Okay just clarifying.

Doesn't have jack shite to do with the fact Slive screwed the pooch and failed to enforce the spirit of the SEC bylaws.

We know Cecil is a pimp. We know Cam is his whore. The spirit of the SEC bylaws says Cam should have been ruled ineligible a long time ago.

Slive is running interference for the Barn. The SEC knew about this and gave the information to the Barn back in July. Nobody can convince me it took 5 months for the Barn, SEC and the NCAA to get it's collective head out of its arse.

Also doesn't this involve a case where the student selected someone to be his selector of schools and that selector solicited the money? It's not exactly like it wasn't someone Cam had given permission to. He told his Dad to select. His Dad set the price too high for MSU. AU gave Cam and his father everything they wanted aparently. Those are just the facts, though. Feel free to come up with a different hypothetical.

I'll do you one better.

My 3 year old has broken TWO flat screen TVs with a Wii remote (didn't have on the wrist strap) in the past 3 years. Kid has an arm like Zeus. I'm already out $3K in TVs, so I'll start the bidding there. (Don't worry...he'll never find out).

Point is, you can't just rule someone ineligible because someone they know wanted money for a commitment. It doesn't matter if it's his coach, parent, acting agent, cuz, best friend, or some crackhead off the street.

If Cam didn't know, he didn't know. You have to prove he knew. You would be creating a precedent in which friends, even enemies could approach schools with the same proposition, and there would have to be daily reports to the NCAA in mass numbers.

NCAA couldn't set that precedent.
