Do you not understand that people can come together to form things like coops and voluntarily follow a set of rules among them for their own gain(not to be confused with cartels that take advantage of people)?

The NCAA is made up of it's member schools, is not a government authority and has absolutely no legal authority. It's a voluntary organization and anyone can leave it at any point, including Texas A&M. Nobody is forced to it, and if the NCAA went away it would be replaced by another organization that is the exact same thing.
At best some schools would separate from others, again just giving you another organization to cry about.

I'd tell the NCAA to go pound sand. They have no jurisdiction to investigate an arrangement between an athlete and a company that agreed to compensate him or her for their NIL. They can go over to the campus and investigate the institution and athletes that are required to follow their by-laws.

Well, as I've been telling A&M fans for the past 6 months, all deals have to be approved by the NCAA. So teams are going to literally report themselves for violations.
He must have had some NIL deals that looked questionable. I mean I'm not the one investigating so I don't really know.

You can tell us til the cows come home. That won't make it true.
NCAA NIL policy only encourages students to report NIL deals to their schools, when permitted or required by state law.

No question. Miami is an NFL/NBA town. Nobody here gives a shite about college basketball and a "businessman" that also happens to be a UM booster just gave a college basketball player a sweeter endorsement deal than 95% of the player on the Dolphins or the Heat and about 98% if you want to throw in the Panthers and the Marlins. But the NCAA doesn't get to determine if that businessman made a bad investment.

Was does the Supreme Court have to do with NIL?
Their ruling last year was in regards to education related expenses. It had nothing to do with NIL even though so many on here seem to think it did.

You do realize all this attention a&m is getting regarding NIL is because of all the a&m fans on boards like this spouting off how many millions of dollars a&m was spending to bring in a 5 star recruit. Every time a&m took the lead some a&m poster was throwing money into the equation.
I have no idea if a&m broke a rule or not but do find it entertaining how the fans flocked here prior to signing days to brag about rich boosters investing in HS recruits and then after when everybody starting questioning how they signed the class they go on the defensive and deny any wrong doing.
Again the whole drama was started by a&m fans.
