How can you get the facts straight if you don't have a case?
Chicken - Egg - Which came first?

WHen did Cecil admit to shopping his son? Who reported this...Kenny Rogers?
Anyone credible report this?

Theres enough proof to make a decision, and add additional punishment after the rest comes out. He admitted to shopping Cam!!!!!! That alone is enough in its own. Declare him ineligible, and go from there. Heisman will go to an eligible player, and an eligible team will represent the SEC West. Sounds fair to me....

What is the NCAA supposed to do, they don't have all the facts. Noone knows if Auburn payed for Cam. The season is almost over, so if they overreact and declare him inelligible then what happens, if it comes out that he was cleared. Then they look even worse.

Good job, there, buddy.
Good job pal, since when is gathering facts synonymous with case? Getting all the facts can be seen from both ways. The facts defending cam, or against cam. You're clearly too biased to see it both ways though.

easy. You have rampant allegations and you have to try and figure out what actually happened before you can make a case to indict someone. You don't make a case against somebody off of what rumors have been circulating around. This is why there hasn't been an official LOI sent to anybody yet, they are trying to get facts straight, not make a case.

quote:I think even PM said that Cecil admitted to the NCAA to having $ talks with MSU boosters. I don't know if it has been officially verified, but I find it hard to believe Cecil didn't seek money from MSU. However, despite what everyone on here believes, Cecil's solitation, without Cam's knowledge or approval, may not be enough to declare Cam ineligible. It is definitely not as open and shut as people want to believe.
WHen did Cecil admit to shopping his son?

So getting the facts right interprets to meaning building a case...LOL at Teague you are a gullible one indeed.
I'd like to hear your definition of "building a case."

building a case is more of using what is known to figure out a way to prove the party guilty. At no point has the NCAA done anything close to that. They are still trying to figure out the facts.

are you really trying to discount something because it was posted via twitter?
Do you honestly believe Emmert would allow that to go out on his account if it wasn't factual? If so you could be the dumbest AU fan on here.

Dear Barners,
The NCAA is gathering facts to exonerate the Newtons and then they're going to pound State so hard they're going to need a metric ton of KY.
Signed,
Pat Dye
P.S. Bama will need two metric tons of KY.

Ok, they aren't "investigating" cam, they're just looking into all the facts to find out if he cheated. Does that make you feel better?

Actually, Emmert didn't post anything. The Tweets are from a guy watching Emmert be interviewed as part of a taping for a show that will air at Noon ET on Monday on the Big Ten Network.
I've updated the OP to reflect this.
So on Monday at Noon ET, you can verify if the dude who tweeted this is lying or not.

If the NCAA finds facts that Cam got paid, wouldn't that be building a case against him?

So, if Rogers and his lawyer said that txt's exist to the FBI, you think this is still in doubt?
Proven, I agree hasnt happened, but I know you aren't one of the delusional gang. You just hate the rumor stuff.

First one must search for facts. Once enough facts are found than one can start to build a case. Right now they are searching and peeling away at stories to see what facts exist and where those facts point to.
