Your batters’ strikeouts per game definitely were caused by Spencer Having surgery. *sarcasm*

Everyone has injuries. You deal with them and hope your depth can paper over it. Texas’ looks to have worn through after holding together for a bit.

WVU is 2-0 in the regional and beat us on a walk-off in the first game. Of course they weren't going to lay down. This ain't Clemson.

You guys would never believe this is our all-conference superstar pitcher.

He's got good stuff...as a closer. That doesn't always translate as a starter. It's a totally different mindset and approach. I get why the coach tried it though, in this case. Leave nothing on the table at this point.

I don't know if they got better, but we absolutely hit a wall.

Damn. Wish we were playing someone I hated. I feel bad for Creighton.

Especially their coach. He seems like a genuinely good guy.

You mean when the SEC’s best pitcher left for surgery?

What did that have to do with your putrid offensive performance in Fayetteville

Well it was a good run, I suppose.

Tie game, 12-12, 2 outs, B8

I don't know how Kentucky baseball fans survived this season. Pure torture.

Eh, he pulled guys when they started giving up runs.

The problem is our pen this year isn't very deep. We returned 0 weekend starters from last year, Hogan getting hurt just killed any depth.

At some point, you just run out of gas.

They reminded me way too much of our elite pitching teams that couldn't hit the ball and flamed out exactly like they're doing now.

You have to be able to hit the ball. College pitching doesn't stay that good all year, ESPECIALLY when your "break glass in case of emergency" arm is a freshman. Same deal with Vanderbilt.
