I mean going out of your way to try and make a call that can severely impact a game seems like the last thing you should want to do as an umpire. But you see it constantly.

What made that weird is the Arkansas player didn’t even swing. You rarely ever see that called when the batter literally just stands there.

I thought that was going to be the game losing out for Arkansas on a stupid call like that, which I'm guessing wouldn't have been reviewable because it was an umpires opinion.

Exactly. Yet the umpires seem just bound and determined to put their stamp on the game. You would think they would be satisfied enough with butchering the strike zone in seemingly every game. But I guess not.
