Good news it that there are a bunch of innings left to get those runs back, come on Auburn!

True. Even if they lose, Auburn is plenty good to run off 4 in a row vs UCF, Milwaukee, and NC State (2x).

Wow. TV just said Holy Cross eliminated Texas and beat Missouri to win the CWS in 1952.

I know it’s UIC but Tech is now up 17-3 top 5. Is the 10 run rule in effect for the NCAA Tournament?

which seems kinda dumb. I get that it's "for real" now in the postseason and anything can happen but I mean with stuff liek this who in the world cares about innings 8 and 9?

Is there any kind of situation where if it's SO out of hand both coaches can mutually agree to just end it? Sorta like how in CFB both coaches can agree to a full time running clock to just get it over with.

I agree. You’ve played with it all season and now it goes away?? Odd rationale.

Least shocking development. It could be raining pussy and USM would get hit in the head with a dick

I don't like run rules in any games if I'm being honest. They only make sense in conference tournaments when you're trying to squeeze in 4 baseball games in 1 day

But baseball is never over until it's over, one of the most unique and awesome aspects of the sport. There is no clock to run out. You have to retire all 27 guys to end a game. 10 + run innings happen all the time in college baseball. That lead shouldn't be the barometer as to when a game should end.

Little Rock is no joke as a 4 seed. Damn near took out LSU last year.

The SEC Freshman of the Year has hit his 2nd home run with his 2nd at bat in his first playoff appearance.

This is Kentucky’s shot. If they don’t get anything it will be ballgame

it's not an NCAA rule, though, so it's not really an odd rationale. Teams agree whether or not to use it in OOC games and it's a conference decision in conference games. There is no NCAA rule that establishes a run rule. Conferences/teams have just started adopting them more to save pitching

If all teams play 9 innings, everyone is on an even playing field in terms of pitcher usage.

Goes down looking. I know it’s part of the game but there may not be anything that pisses me off in baseball more than that
