Of course that’s a given. If Auburn doesn’t host they always go to Tallahassee. It’s tradition.

Correct. The year the NCAA went to the Super Regional format was the last time both were hosts. Bama was a top 8 National Seed. I actually don’t know if they ever hosted Regionals in the same season before that but there were some really good Auburn and Alabama teams in the 80s and 90s.

Campbell’s ball park only seats 1250 fans. I wonder if that was a factor in them not hosting.

I think Campbell was hurt by their schedule. They played 30 games against teams ranked outside the top 101.
