The lost control with NIL so they go after low hanging fruit. F them.

They banned:

photo shoots
decorating recruit's hotel room
all cookies, cakes and snacks must be handed to recruits in lobby

Those damn cakes and snacks. That's the way to stop things from getting out of control. I bet Hawaii has been enticing recruits with pineapple upside down cake, we have with bourbon balls and Georgia has with pecan pies. Glad this is getting under control. We are talking tens of dollars.

This is just another example of the uselessness of the NCAA. I remember when we got in trouble for offering a choice between peanut butter and cream cheese as bagel toppings during a recruiting visit.
Another prime example of why FCS, Div. II & III should have zero say in how Div.1 conducts business.

If your staff would’ve seen blue Mountain State, then they would’ve known about this rule

The idiocy of crap like this should be embarrassing for an organization made up of the member schools. Damn ncaa, get a grip, show some professionalism among the ranks and leave this tick-tacky shite out.

All you idiots calling out the ncaa for this… this was requested by schools so they don’t have to do this stupid shite for every recruit that comes to campus. Especially after the ncaa removed the 5 school limit on visits.

Quit crying about the ncaa for gods sake, they literally just do what the school presidents tell them to.

Those photoshoots are press gold for the schools. They hit Twitter and everybody sees them.

If any school presidents are asking for a stop it is the small schools with no budget for this stuff.

They’re not sending those girls up there to decorate the room.

College football needs to break away. Frick, they don't do anything anyway.

Schools were asking for this, otherwise the NCAA would be sitting with their thumbs up their asses as usual. It gets a little out of hand when every school must keep a professional photographer and equipment room guys on hand at all times just in case a recruit comes by...sometimes with all their teammates, little bro's, cousins etc that also want pics wearing the gear.
