Nothing about that program surprises me any more.
Hope their nattys are worth it when sanctions come. Will bowl cut retain his job?
You're just another satisfied jealous wart whose team probably had their ponderosas handed to them by the Dawgs.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, the hate.

I certainly trust the editor of salty Bucknuts. Sounds like a name you can trust.

Meh, If this was 2000 I'd be nervous.
The NCAA hasn't "penalized" anybody since USC in 2010.

The reality is all NCAA penalties where teams had to forfeit games, lose scholarships or not be able to play future games have been about players getting money from boosters.
And the reality is that is allowed now (what USC was hit with). NCAA investigations are still going to happen, but the penalties out of them will be a lower number of recruiting visits or other insignificant penalties. The one thing that made NCAA investigations something to fear (paying players) is now not something that is penalized.

Not a problem. I was just a bit confused. I quit Google because they took an active stance on some political issues. (Ftr, I don't make political stances an issue unless a company/person does.) Anyway...I was just wondering if you knew something I did not know. I actually preferred the results I got from Google, but when they made some stances I dumped them.
I guess I'll never understand why companies think they have to make public stances on political issues. Same for actors, musicians and other entertainers. I mean, they have a right to speak out if they want to, but why risk alienating a large portion of your fan base? Just hold your political beliefs close to the vest and exercise your right to vote. But if you try to sway me or start making public stances then If I disagree then I will quit going to your movies, listening to your music or supporting you in any way. Which is my right.

Companies largely know this (less so for individual famous people).
The reality is that if they're making those political statements publicly, for their particular business there is a benefit to doing so and that benefit outweighs the costs of lost customers.
Businesses used to be very conservative in their politics. They're much less so now, moving to the point they're almost liberal. They're not doing this without reading the market first.
Without taking a side... it seems that the financial impact of happy/pissed off social liberals on a company's bottom line is in most businesses bigger than happy/pissed off conservatives. It' why the "mainstream" media (often viewed as liberal) gets advertising from major corporations where the more conservative media shows get advertising from "buy gold"/"my pillow" type sources despite great ratings.
