Everyone imagine for a moment what he could have done with all this time he's spent following the ULL investigation:

Time spent? LOL! I read the response. Have a great memory. So.... no time wasted.

OM is likely to face sanctions for academic fraud, that is, unless they can finagle their way out using old fashioned methods. Which is highly risky, and they aren't that dumb.

This started at Ole Miss. You won't see the NCAA hit ULL and let Ole Miss walk for the same things that was discovered during the investigation of Ole Miss. What a media nightmare that would be for the NCAA.

Anything else they've done is probably impossible to prove,

It's already proven. Read the response. They have the evidence.

This whole thing has been so obvious the last few years. First, Hugh Freeze who, outside of Ole miss doesnt get a coaching job anywhere because of his outright cheating.

2nd, Ole Miss was the 3 star king of college football. Now, all of sudden, due to Freeze, Jesus or whatever 5 stars start flocking to this place with crappy facilities, crappy support, low funds, etc? Yea right.

This reminds me so much of SMU. Pedestrian program with sketchy success over the years with really not much support and would go bowling once every 3 years or so. Then one coach comes in and not only do they get better they get tons better and start beating the best teams in college football and just like Ron Meyer who had a checkered past with the NCAA here comes Freeze who turned it around. Even my wife who knows nothing about football said, wow, Ole miss has some players now. I just looked at her like...well.

I think Ole mIss got tired of losing and like SMU, just threw caution to the wind. Yea, we'll go on probation but let's get some big wins in here and we'll worry about that later. The ONLY saving grace Ole Miss might have is this NCAA wants "proof" ( See Cam case)

As far as that staff not being there, Bama was put on probation a couple years. after DuBose and ALL his staff had been gone. Rebs, just pray Emmert wants solid proof of wrongdoing. That might save you cause if not this is gonna come crashing down hard.

All I hear is grumbling because you failed to beat them on the field.

Get over it.

No school should want academics investigated too closely.

Radio cannot even spell shite right on a tattoo.

NCAA announcement of findings delayed by rebsfan10
If we're doing anything that Bama, LSU, Tennessee, Oklahoma, etc.. aren't doing, than I agree that we should be hit hard with sanctions. But at the end of the day, the NCAA knows every major program is not exactly operating under the ethical

That the flaw in your logic. Ole Miss is not a major program. OM is exactly the kind of program the NCAA would punish

Yep. They can make a show out of knocking down a trendy name without actually hurting the sport or the perception of the sport.

NCAA lost all bite after the Miami debacle.

You are reaching. You don't know anything other than what ULL self reported, because the NCAA doesn't comment on investigations. In fact, signs point to the NCAA not having found anything on Ole Miss, or ULL wouldn't have needed to publicly try to shift blame.

Yes you will. You and ED have it backwards, OM offered ULL up as a sacrificial lamb. It was part of the deal to tie up the Tunsil stuff. It's why ULL went public blaming Ole Miss. They were pissed we ratted on them.

Not really. Again your reaching to rationalize your position.

Sorry, but you are wrong man. When you start off by saying "ULL self reported" then I know, as well as most, that you really don't know what's going on. ULL did not self report.

The NCAA contacted them in Dec 2013..

quote:

because the NCAA doesn't comment on investigations

Not even sure how that is even relevant to any of this. So the NCAA does not comment on on going investigations. Great.

But the finding, NOA (university's choice), and response all can be public. Therefore we know what the NCAA has stated through ULL.

quote:

In fact, signs point to the NCAA not having found anything on Ole Miss, or ULL wouldn't have needed to publicly try to shift blame.

Who is reaching now? I don't believe is signs... I believe in verifiable facts...and we have those in the response.

ULL isn't shifting blame. ULL is taking their punishment like they should.

That's some creative thinking.

So... let me see If I understand you. WAY back in 2013, UM decided to rat out ULL in preparation of Tunsil smacking he lousy step father? They knew once he did that, the step father would talk a little.

Next, you are saying that ULL went public... with their official response...Ha. Learn the process man.

Nothing quite like a celebratory spliff after beating your rival's brains out on their homefield in their star quarterback's last home game ever.

Can you blame any program for gambling these days after Auburn/Cam and Miami. The reward is worth the risk these days and when you've got that. Don't be to shocked when the gloves come off.

Shoot, it's same with steroids.
For many, the risk is worth the reward.

If anything comes from this
It will be a slap on the wrist
