This shite has been going on for two years and the NCAA has literally found nothing of substance. That’s with pretty much the entire sports media having their arrows aimed at LSU

It’s just desperation at this point

NCAA is police judge jury but even with the obvious evidence they decided to involve someone else. Clearly that means the end of LSU

Did it not go to an independent panel?

I guess if you consider the panel independent even though it was created by them. There is an independent nature to them but they are still connected to the NCAA

Is the NCAA not able to issue its own punishment after its own investigation?

Here is from there site

quote:

In 2018, NCAA membership made sweeping changes to the investigations and infractions process that created independent groups to prevent conflicts of interest. NCAA Division I cases deemed complex are now eligible for the Independent Accountability Resolution Process (IARP) Examples of complex cases include alleged violations of core NCAA values, such as prioritizing academics and the well-being of student-athletes; the possibility of major penalties; or adversarial behavior. Multiple parties are able to request a case be deemed complex: school representatives, NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions members or NCAA enforcement staff.

The spin is you are trying to make it sound like it was moved to this panel because of a lack of evidence, you are making a huge assumption there. There are many reasons that are listed above for why it would be moved.

I will admit that it sounds like the NCAA is pissed that wade has beaten them so far. I think this is just an admission of their failure

NCAA punts investigation

I think you've gotten it backwards.

There is so much evidence they gave it to a committee that is specifically for complex cases because there is so much to sort out.

If it was a simple case and if they had no evidence, they would either issue things themselves, or they would just outright dismiss it.

LSU is fricked and LSU fans are delusional as always.

Better go ahead and get your "Worth it" shirts printed up.

It’s still an admission they ain’t got shite. The fbi has investigated (albeit for different goals) as well the NCAA infractions committee. They still don’t have the evidence to issue a NOA.

This has been for over a year. They have failed.

That's not anything near what the article is saying.

"In a July 15 letter, NCAA vice president of enforcement Jonathan Duncan wrote that the case satisfies at least five of the seven factors for referring the case to the IARP."

Sounds a bit ominous to me.

"The allegations were included in the NCAA enforcement staff's request that its infractions case involving the LSU men's basketball program be adjudicated through the Independent Accountability Resolution Process, which was created to handle complex cases."

Here's what the NCAA considers a complex case:

Examples of complex cases include alleged violations of core NCAA values, such as prioritizing academics and the well-being of student-athletes; the possibility of major penalties; or adversarial behavior.

The bolded portion seems to certainly fit the circumstances. And LSU appears to be trying to sacrifice the basketball program for the football program since they have asked that the football allegations not be taken before the IARP but have no issues with them hearing Wade's case. IMHO, LSU fans sound a lot like Alabama fans just before the NCAA dropped the Albert Means hammer on Alabama. How'd that work out? Just sayin...

When has that ever stopped anyone from making claims about LSU around here.

if we're guilty I want LSU to be treated like the NCAA treats Duke regarding Zion. No hiding behind Nike nonsense. If we get hit hard, then so should Duke.

I don't disagree, and you know I am not a hater, I like mixing it up with LSU fans and other than when we play, I get along with you all very well. But this doesn't look good imo. They are calling Wade out for lack of cooperation, which only makes them want to make an example out of you if they can.

That said, no one was ever caught more dead to rights than Miami and the NCAA fricked that up, so they could well do the same here.

Said everyone who ever got hit hard. This never works. The NCAA is random and stupid.
