No their aren't. There are no rules that stop a collective from flying anyone anywhere.

You're welcome to point me to this supposed rule.

Says you. Unfortunately for Tennessee, Smokey’s Howl isn’t the NCAA Rules Committee.

There are, however, recruiting rules preventing boosters from providing transportation for a recruit to visit campus.

What it’s all about is that Tennessee boosters are too stupid to follow what few rules still remain in recruiting.

It goes without saying after the last couple of days that their fans don’t even realize there are rules about recruiting.

Tennessee didn't do that. There are also rules against letting people like you take pics around kindergardens. But it's irrelevant to this situation, where a collective flew a kid somewhere.

Again, point me to the rule.

Are there any rules for the employment of enrolled student-athletes by boosters? Student-athletes may only be compensated for work actually performed and at a rate commensurate with the going rate. Compensation may not include remuneration for the value that the student-athlete may have for the employer due to the student-athlete’s athletics status. Transportation may not be provided to student athletes unless it is a benefit provided to all employees.

Seriously…..this took all of 30 seconds to google. Tennessee fans are just as stupid as their boosters and compliance department.

Plot twist. Tennessee boosters did actually do that.

If you google “can NIL be used in recruiting” this is what pops up.

And this is why Tennessee is going to get hammered. You nor anyone involved in Tennessee athletics realizes there is a difference between NIL and recruiting.

At this point it is comical.

Irrelevant to collectives.

Thanks for playing.

Point me to the rule that bans COLLECTIVES from flying anyone anywhere.

You can't.

Relevant to boosters

But at least you’re admitting there are, in fact, rules related to impermissible booster incentives.

Because I don’t have to, idiot. It’s a booster issue.

Related to the topic: if anything transpires, I'll never watch another minute of college sports in my life.

Irrelevant to collectives. The USSC agrees with me.

If Tenn’s AD is smart, they’ll self-impose a few scholarships and 2 years probation. Don’t try to fight the NCAA when topic is something clearly covered by their rulebook. The LAST thing you want is to bow up and force a full-on NCAA investigation. That was our mistake during the Freeze years.

I am standing by. Standing by for Tennessee football to get stripped of 25 scholarships, a two year bowl ban, and no off campus recruiting visits.

You’re absolutely right. This case is completely irrelevant to collectives…..seeing as how it’s a booster issue.

Unless, that is, you can prove no one involved with this collective has ever so much as bought a ticket to a single UT sporting event..
